Alminstone Cross is a village in Devon, England.

The Gnome Reserve is a garden and tourist attraction at West Putford, near Bradworthy, Devon, England, presented as a pastoral refuge for garden gnomes. The reserve was established in 1979 by Ann Atkin, a former art student. According to her own account:"…while painting birds in landscapes I came to what was like a T Junction in my painting development. I did not know whether to turn left or right as different elements of what I liked in painting appeared irreconcilably in opposite directions. It was very disturbing! Until – one day – a gnome appeared in my mind and seemed to say: ‘Don’t go left; don’t go right; you must dig / build your own road straight across.’… She established the reserve on a 4 acres (1.6 ha) site and remains the owner of the tourist attraction that also sells gnomes. The reserve holds more than 2,000 gnomes and is included in the Guinness Book of World Records. The four-acre Reserve also has model pixies. The area includes woodlands, a stream, pond, meadow and wildflower garden with "about 250 labelled species of wildflowers, herbs, grasses and ferns." Photographs are allowed and encouraged. Gnome hats and fishing rods are loaned to visitors free of charge. It is not uncommon for some Gnomes to eventually get taken by the visitors. The Reserve has refused to sell gnomes with knives on their backs.

Bradworthy is a village and civil parish in Devon, England. The village is close to the site of the first wind turbines in Devon, erected in 2005. Bradworthy has the largest village square in England. The civil parish is bordered by the Devon parishes Hartland, Woolfardisworthy, West Putford, Sutcombe, Holsworthy Hamlets, and Pancrasweek and the Cornish civil parishes Kilkhampton and Morwenstow. Bradworthy village has a pub, a primary school, and an industrial estate. The parish church of St John the Baptist dates from the 13th century and is a grade II* listed building.Arthur Herbert Procter, a Victoria Cross recipient, was vicar of Bradworthy from 1963 to 1964.

Holsworthy Hamlets is a civil parish in the northwest of Devon, England. It forms part of the local government district of Torridge and came into being on 1 April 1900 when the ecclesiastical parish of Holsworthy was split into two.The parish almost surrounds the parish and town of Holsworthy, except on the east. It is surrounded clockwise from the north by the parishes of Bradworthy, Sutcombe, Milton Damerel, Thornbury, Cookbury, Hollacombe, Clawton, Pyworthy and Holsworthy, and Pancrasweek. In 2001 its population was 821, distributed among farms and hamlets such as Thorne and Chilsworthy (former Domesday manors), Youldon, Honeycroft, Vognacott, Merryfield, South Arscott (the original home of the Arscott family), Herdwick, Staddon and Chasty.Soldon in the north of the parish is now a farmhouse, but in the 17th century it was a manor house of the Prideaux family and it retains many fittings of that period.

Sutcombe is a village and civil parish in the local government district of Torridge, Devon, England. The parish, which lies about 5.5 miles north of the town of Holsworthy, is surrounded clockwise from the north by the parishes of West Putford, Abbots Bickington, Milton Damerel, Holsworthy Hamlets and Bradworthy. In 2001 its population was 299, compared to 351 in 1901.

The 1 ft 11+1⁄2 in (597 mm) narrow gauge Lynbarn Railway opened in 1995 as a park ride at the Milky Way Adventure Park, a family-based theme park attraction near Clovelly in north Devon, England. It was built and operated by enthusiast volunteers working to revive the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway (L&B) – a nearby historical line running through Exmoor. Built to the same rail gauge – 1 ft 11+1⁄2 in (597 mm) – as the L&B, but with a considerably smaller loading gauge, the ride made significant contributions to the finances, skills and expertise of the L&B and was substantially extended and improved during 2003/2004. So they could concentrate on operating at Woody Bay the L&B sold their share in the Lynbarn operation to the owners of the Milky Way Adventure Park, who now operate the ride along with the other attractions. The "Lynbarn" uses three coaches that were part of a lot bought by the L&B and formerly based at Thorpe Park in Surrey. A further four of these coaches were fully rebuilt, and carried passengers at the L&B (Woody Bay) between 2004 and 2013. The coaches were sold in May 2014 to the Statfold Barn Railway as they were surplus to requirements, following the introduction of original restored L&B carriages. There are also a number of service wagons, used for maintaining the track. Motive power was provided by two steam outline diesel locomotives. One of these, Parracombe, was built by Baguley in 1947 for the line at Butlins, Clacton. A scene from that period featured in the closing sequences of a popular TV series Hi-de-Hi! (1979-1987). This loco was transferred to the Groudle Glen Railway in 2007.

The Milky Way Adventure Park (Downland Farm) is an amusement park in North Devon. It was named as Devon's Large Attraction of the Year by Visit Devon in 2016 and as one of the UK's best amusement parks by Trip Advisor in both its 2015 and 2016 Travellers Choice Awards. The Milky Way park has over 110,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor activities.The Milky Way park has roller coasters, adventure rides, indoor dodgems, bouncing pillows, exhibition of Sci-Fi memorabilia (including Star Wars and Doctor Who costumes), a mini-train, birds of prey displays, archery, and huge indoor soft-play areas for all ages. It also runs a daily programme of shows, with some featuring Merlin from Britain's Got Talent. Its soft-play centre, Little Stars, opened in 2014. It is designed specifically for children aged 0–6 and has areas set aside exclusively for those aged 0–3 and 0-6 ,including a sensory room for babies.

Bucks Mills is a small village within the parish of Woolfardisworthy on the north coast of Devon, England. It was anciently the mill of the manor of Bucks, anciently Bokish, Buckish, Bochewis, etc., listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Bochewis. The village is within the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the South West Coast Path. Next to the village is Bucks Woods which includes the site of the Iron Age Hill fort at Peppercombe Castle. The stream which runs through the village powered at least one mill. It falls over the cliff edge in a waterfall onto the beach which has large pebbles and hard sandstone formations. In the Elizabethan era a break in the rocks, known as the Gut, was created by Richard Cole (1568-1614), lord of the manor of Bucks, by blasting the rock with gunpowder to allow access to the small harbour built by him, which has since disappeared, creating a small harbour for fishing vessels. In the 18th century this was used for the import of culm, a mixture of anthracite and limestone which was burnt in kilns to produce fertiliser. The remains of two of the lime kilns can be seen on either side of the beach access.In the 18th and 19th centuries many of the residents of Bucks Mills and the surrounding villages were related to the Braund family and King Cottage within Bucks Mills was once the home of Captain James Braund who was informally known as the "King of Bucks".St Anne's church was built in 1862. The church was endowed by Mrs. Elwes, the Lord of the Manor of Walland Cary, the estate on which the village stood.At Bucks Mill Cabin resided artist Mary Stella Edwards and Judith Ackland.

Thuborough (alias Therborough, Theoburgh, etc.) in the parish of Sutcombe, Devon, England, is an historic estate, formerly a seat of a branch of the Prideaux family, also seated at Orcharton, Modbury; Adeston, Holbeton; Soldon, Holsworthy; Netherton, Farway; Ashburton; Nutwell, Woodbury; Ford Abbey, Thorncombe, all in Devon and at Prideaux Place, Padstow and Prideaux Castle, Luxulyan, in Cornwall. The present mansion house, comprising "Thuborough House" and "Thuborough Barton", the north-east block, is a grade II listed building.

Clovelly Dykes is an Iron Age hill fort or earthwork near Clovelly, Devon, England. Situated on the high plateau behind the coast at approx 210 metres above sea level, it is one of the largest and most impressive Early Iron Age hill-forts in Devon. It is a complex series of earthworks covering more than 20 acres (8.1 ha).

Clovelly () is a harbour village in the Torridge district of Devon, England. Its steep pedestrianised cobbled main street, traditional architecture, donkeys and views over the Bristol Channel attract numerous tourists. At the 2011 census, the parish population was 443, which was 50 fewer than ten years previously. The ward of Clovelly Bay includes the island of Lundy.An entrance fee is charged to enter the village via a village visitor centre which also charges for parking, entrance to two museums, Clovelly Court gardens, and an audiovisual history guide.The South West Coast Path National Trail runs from the top of the village. The village is privately owned, by John Rous as of March 2021; he inherited in 1983. The village "has mainly been in the Hamlyn family since 1738", and he is of that line.
