Bohetherick

Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or Tamar Valley AONB is a legally designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Devon and Cornwall in England.

The Cotehele clock is situated at Cotehele House, Calstock, Cornwall. It is the earliest turret clock in the United Kingdom still working in an unaltered state and in its original position. It was probably installed between 1493 and 1521.

Cotehele (Cornish: Kosheyl) is a medieval house with Tudor additions, situated in the parish of Calstock in the east of Cornwall, England, and now belonging to the National Trust. It is a rambling granite and slate-stone manor house on the banks of the River Tamar that has been little changed over five centuries. It was built by the Edgecumbe family in 1458 after the original Manor House was pulled down. Sir Richard Edgecumbe came into the property after fighting for Henry Tudor in the Battle of Bosworth. He was gifted with money and the original Manor House and estate and then proceeded to build Cotehele.

Prospect Tower is a folly on the Cotehele Estate. It has three sides and is 60ft high. When the National Trust was given the Cotehele Estate in 1947 the Trust renovated the tower and constructed a wooden spiral staircase inside, to allow visitors. The Tower was last renovated in 2018 and is still open to the public.

Norris Green is a village in Cornwall, England, UK. It was enlarged from a farming hamlet so that it now adjoins the neighbouring village of Higher Metherell. Both settlements are within the civil parish of Calstock which borders the River Tamar, the county boundary with Devon in south-east Cornwall.

Calstock (Cornish: Kalstok) is a civil parish and a large village in south east Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, on the border with Devon. The village is situated on the River Tamar 6 miles (9.7 km) south west of Tavistock and 10 miles (16 km) north of Plymouth.The parish had a population of 6,095 in the 2001 census. This had increased to 6,431 at the 2011 census. The parish encompasses 5,760 acres (23.3 km2) of land, 70 acres (0.28 km2) of water, and 44 acres (0.18 km2) of the tidal Tamar. As well as Calstock, other settlements in the parish include Albaston, Chilsworthy, Gunnislake, Harrowbarrow, Latchley, Metherell, Coxpark, Dimson, Drakewalls, Norris Green, Rising Sun and St Ann's Chapel.Calstock village is within the Tamar Valley AONB, is overlooked by Cotehele house and gardens, and lies on the scenic Tamar Valley railway. Calstock railway station opened on 2 March 1908. The village is twinned with Saint-Thuriau in Brittany, France.

Harewood House was an ancient manor house, built originally by the Saxons, in Cornwall, England. It is located by an ancient river crossing, originally used by the Romans to get to a nearby Roman fort. Harewood Estate is surrounded by old mine workings, so the house faces towards Morwellham Quay.

St Dominic (Cornish: Sen Domynek) is a civil parish and village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is situated 2+1⁄2 miles (4.0 km) east of Callington and five miles (8 km) north of Saltash.St Dominick is the historic spelling but this is gradually changing to drop the letter K. It is still spelt with the K on Ordnance Survey mapping, and in the name of an electoral division, St Dominick, Harrowbarrow and Kelly Bray, but Cornwall Council spells the parish name without the K.St Dominic parish is bounded by Calstock parish to the north, by the River Tamar and border with Devon to the east, by St Mellion parish to the south and by Callington parish to the west. The ecclesiastical parish is named after a female saint, St Dominica, and is in the Deanery and Hundred of East. The parish is also in the Registration District of St Germans (however, historic birth and death registers are in Liskeard and marriage registers in St Germans). The population of the parish was 833 in the 2001 census. This included Bohetherick but had decreased slightly to 799 at the 2011 census. The parish church is dedicated to St Dominica and has two aisles. The south aisle is the earlier of the two; the tower (of the 13th century) is of an unusual design. A dedication to St. Dominic was added in 1963 by the Bishop of Truro. St Dominic Parish Council has ten councillors and meets monthly in the village hall. The council members are sole trustees of the village hall As well as the churchtown the parish settlements include Burraton, Bohetheric (also known as Etheric), and Halton Quay where there is an Anglican chapel. A National Trust house, Cotehele, lies north of St Dominic. A history of St Dominic post office was published in 1988.Charles Fitzgeoffrey (1576–1638), a poet, was vicar of St Dominic in the early 17th century.

Calstock railway station (Cornish: Kalstok) is an unstaffed railway station on the Tamar Valley Line serving the village of Calstock in Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is situated at the north end of Calstock Viaduct which carries the railway at high level over the River Tamar.
