Nag's Head Market is a market in London. It is situated on Seven Sisters Road in the Holloway area of the London Borough of Islington. It is named after the Nag's Head public house, which closed in 2004; the original early Victorian building is in use today as a gambling establishment. As part of Nag's Head Town Centre, a shopping arcade between Morrisons, Marks & Spencers and Selby's, it is governed by the Nag's Head Town Centre Management Group, made up of local businesses and services.

Holloway is an inner-city district of the London Borough of Islington, 3.3 miles (5.3 km) north of Charing Cross, which follows the line of the Holloway Road (A1). At the centre of Holloway is the Nag's Head commercial area which sits between the more residential Upper Holloway and Lower Holloway neighbourhoods. Holloway has a multicultural population. It is the home of Arsenal F.C., and was once home to the largest women's prison in Europe, Holloway Prison, until 2016. Prior to 1965, Holloway was in the historic county of Middlesex.

The Odeon Cinema, originally the Gaumont, is a multiplex cinema in Holloway, London, England. It was built in 1938, and designed by the American architect C. Howard Crane. It is a Grade II listed building: the listing text states that "its external impact is still greater than almost any other cinema, an example of trans-Atlantic bravura."

North Library is a public library in the London Borough of Islington, England. Located in Manor Gardens, it is the borough's oldest library, opening in 1906. In the UK, it was innovative in its embrace of open-access shelving and children's spaces. It was awarded Grade II listed status in 1994.

Alexander Sloley (born 4 August 1991) was a British boy who disappeared without a trace on 2 August 2008 in Edmonton, north London, England, when he was 16. No evidence of his fate has been found, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

The Royal Northern Hospital was a general hospital on Holloway Road, London N7, near Tollington Way. It had inpatient, outpatient, accident and emergency facilities and was also a centre for postgraduate education.

The American University in London (AUL) was an accredited university in the United Kingdom before being suspended in April 2007. It was located in Seven Sisters Road in London.The AUL's business education programs had been accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), but this accreditation was suspended in April 2007. The IACBE identified need for improvement in the areas of Outcomes Assessment, Strategic Planning, Financial Resources, External Oversight, and Business and Industry Linkages.AUL had been in partnership with the Geneva Business School.

Nambucca is a live music venue in Holloway Road in London. Since being rebuilt following a fire it now houses two distinct areas in a big open plan venue - a front bar area and a rear dancefloor and gig area. It is popular with up-and-coming bands and hosts music and entertainment events on a nightly basis. In the mid-part of the 2000s Nambucca provided a platform for many of the forerunners of the London nu-folk scene, with artists such as Frank Turner, Marcus Mumford, Beans on Toast and Laura Marling performing there regularly. It also was a staple of the burgeoning indie-scene led by The Libertines and many successful bands performed early gigs there including The Holloways who were actually formed at the venue and played their first gig there. On December 17, 2008 a fire at the venue caused major destruction and it was almost two years before it reopened.On October 31, 2014, after another closure, an extensive refurbishment and a change of ownership, the bar reopened once again. Many long-running and successful events have now found a new home at the venue in its latest incarnation. Nambucca is now a 300-capacity music venue, with the re-positioning of the stage to the back of the room as opposed to its former position at the left-hand side of the venue, allowing a clear view for all gig-goers. The venue has a 30-channel Soundtrack Si-Compact mixing desk and PA system. Since its reopening in 2014 it has hosted gigs by artists such as Wolf Alice, The Wombats, Fat White Family, John Power (Cast, The La's) The Rifles (band), The Enemy (UK rock band) and many more and currently houses the popular This Feeling and Some Weird Sin clubnights.

Holloway Road is a road in London, 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) in length. It is one of the main shopping streets in North London, and carries the A1 road as it passes through Holloway, in the London Borough of Islington. The road starts in Archway, near Archway Underground station, then heads south-east, past Upper Holloway railway station, Whittington Park, past the North London campus of London Metropolitan University near Nag's Head, past Holloway Road Underground station, and the main campus of the university, and then becomes Highbury Corner, near Highbury & Islington station.

Islington North () is a constituency in Greater London represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1983 by Jeremy Corbyn. He served as Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of Her Majesty's Opposition from 2015 to 2020. Corbyn had the whip removed on 29 October 2020 and has subsequently sat as an Independent. He was readmitted to the Labour Party on 17 November 2020, but the whip has not been restored. The constituency was established for the 1885 general election.

HM Prison Holloway was a closed category prison for adult women and young offenders in Holloway, London, England, operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service. It was the largest women's prison in western Europe, until its closure in 2016.
