Uttoxeter Rural is a civil parish in the borough of East Staffordshire, Staffordshire, England, comprising the villages of Stramshall and Bramshall. It is separate from the town of Uttoxeter, and surrounds it to the north, west and south. The population was 1,567 at the 2001 census, increasing to 1,635 at the 2011 Census. Until 1974, there was a Uttoxeter Rural District that covered a larger area.

Bramshall is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Uttoxeter Rural, in the East Staffordshire district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It is to the west of Uttoxeter. It has a new housing estate to the north of it. In 1931 the parish had a population of 173.

The village is 2.1 miles north of the town of Uttoxeter, 16.3 miles north east of Stafford and 143 miles north west of London. The village lies 0.8 miles north of the A50 that links Warrington to Leicester. The nearest railway station is at Uttoxeter for the Crewe to Derby line. The nearest airport is East Midlands Airport.

Bromshall railway station was a short lived railway station in Staffordshire, England. The railway line between Stoke-on-Trent and Uttoxeter was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1848 and a station to serve the village of Bramshall (also known as Bromshall) was opened at the same time. The station was never heavily used and after only 17 years the NSR withdrew the passenger service on the last day of 1865 although the goods facilities were retained. In 1942, an ordnance storage depot was constructed nearby and new sidings laid to enable munitions produced at Cold Meece ordnance factory to be moved to Bromshall depot by rail. Between May and September 1942, a temporary station called Bromshall Crossing was opened on the site to allow construction workers to travel to and from work.

Croxden is a village in the county of Staffordshire, England, south of Alton and north of Uttoxeter. The population of the civil parish as taken at the 2011 census was 255. The village is the site of Croxden Abbey, founded in 1176 by the Cistercians, but now ruined. It is privately owned and in the care of English Heritage. The manor was formerly in the ownership of the Earl of Macclesfield.

Hollington is a village in the Staffordshire Moorlands in English county of Staffordshire. There are several villages of this same name, and there is a Hollington, Derbyshire a few miles to the east in Derbyshire. The population taken at the 2011 census was 212.The village has a church and two pubs, The Star and The Raddle. There is a village hall. There used to be a village shop, but this closed in 1992. The nearest town to Hollington is the market town of Uttoxeter just under five miles to the south east, or Cheadle to the north west. The village is situated on the south eastern corner of high ground, with a ridge extending to the south and deep valleys to the north, and enjoys beautiful views. The hamlet of Great Gate lies a mile to the north east. It is close to Croxden Abbey, Rocester and Alton Towers. An ancient Roman road runs through the village, from through Rocester and Derby (Roman Derventio) in the east, the Derbyshire section being called Long Lane, and onwards to the north west through the village of Upper Tean. The quarries at Hollington produce the notable pink-red and white "Hollington stone" (a type of sandstone) which has been used for centuries in the construction of churches and stately homes. It was used for the construction of the new Coventry Cathedral in the 1950s.

Loxley Hall is an early-19th-century country house near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, now occupied by a Staffordshire County Council special school for boys with learning difficulties. It is a Grade II* listed building. An early manor house on the site was owned by the Ferrers family and from the 14th century following the marriage of the Ferrers heiress, by a branch of the Kynnersley family (Sneyd-Kynnersley from 1815). In the 18th century a substantial mansion was built on the site, the main entrance front to the south having eleven bays, the central three bays pedimented, and two storeys with dormers. The east wing was of five bays. Mary Kynnersley was born here in the 1700s. Thomas Kynnersley was her father. She married into European aristocracy becoming Baroness de Bode in the nobility of the Holy Roman empire. She lost a fortune in the French revolution and died in 1812 in Moscow.Alfred Tennyson wrote the Locksley Hall poems after a mansion of the same name in Staffordshire, former country house of Thomas Kynnersley. In the early 19th century the house was remodelled and enlarged. A third storey under a hipped roof was added and the east wing was extended to seven bays.

Spath, is a small village north of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England. For population details as taken at the 2011 census see Uttoxeter Rural. Spath is on the River Tean and is divided from Uttoxeter by the A50 road. In UK railway history, Spath is notable as the site of the first automatic (i.e. train-operated) level crossing in the United Kingdom (AHBC: automatic half barrier crossing), which came into operation on 5 February 1961.The railway closed four years later, and has now been dismantled, the road which crossed it via the automatic crossing is now gated and only leads to a farm and there is no remaining visible sign of the crossing. Spath was the original home of Stevensons of Uttoxeter, a bus company that celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2007.

Croxden Abbey, also known as "Abbey of the Vale of St. Mary at Croxden", was a Cistercian abbey at Croxden, Staffordshire, United Kingdom. A daughter house of the abbey in Aunay-sur-Odon, Normandy, the abbey was founded by Bertram III de Verdun of Alton Castle, Staffordshire, in the 12th century. The abbey was dissolved in 1538.

The Heath is a village in the East Staffordshire borough of Staffordshire, England. It is close to the border with Derbyshire. The village adjoins the town of Uttoxeter and the villages of Bramshall and Spath.

Uttoxeter Town F.C. is an English football club based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. They currently play in the North West Counties League Division One South. The club is a FA Charter Standard Club affiliated to the Staffordshire Football Association.
