Boughton Heath

Boughton Hall is a former country house in Boughton, to the east of the city of Chester, Cheshire, England. It is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building.

Great Boughton is a civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It includes the villages of Boughton Heath and Vicars Cross. It had a population of 2,627 according to the 2011 census. It is sometimes confused with the separate settlement of Boughton, which lies just to the west, within the boundaries of the city of Chester. In the 1870s, Great Boughton was described as: a township and a district in Cheshire. The township is in St. Oswald parish, and partly within Chester city; and lies on the Chester and Crewe railway, 1 mile E of Chester.Great Boughton is a parish that comprises the villages of Boughton Heath, Caldy Valley, Vicars Cross and a section of Huntington. Attractions include the Sandy Lane Aqua Park with ferry to Meadows, Caldy Nature Reserve and Boughton Hall Cricket Club. Great Boughton came into the news when a controversial development at the disused Saighton Camp caused the remodelling of a roundabout. The new design features a hamburger roundabout which has also proved controversial and the roundabout now creates delays especially on the A41 where tailbacks frequently reach 2 miles.

The Bishops' Blue Coat Church of England High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Chester, United Kingdom. It is an academy and has STEM Assured status. Ofsted rated the School 'Good' in an inspection in March 2015. It is also one of ten schools in the UK to have achieved STEM assured status.

The ground is located off Boughton Hall Avenue, with the Shropshire Union Canal to the north. The ground is used by Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club.

31 and 33 Dee Banks is a pair of semi-detached houses in Chester, Cheshire, England. The houses are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The historical importance of the houses, in addition to their listing, is that they were designed by the Chester architect John Douglas, who lived in No. 33 for 20 years.

Walmoor Hill is a large house in an elevated position overlooking the River Dee on the west side of Dee Banks, Chester, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The authors of the Buildings of England series describe it as a "house of considerable size and panache".

Hoole is a suburb in the east of Chester, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The area is contiguous with Newton to the north and Vicars Cross to the south. The A41 road marks the suburb's eastern boundary, with the separate Hoole Village approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) away. At the 2011 census the population of the electoral ward of Newton and Hoole was 9,359.

Huntington is a village and civil parish on the southern outskirts of Chester, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. In the 2001 census the population of the entire civil parish was 1,961, increasing to 2,115 by the 2011 census.

Saighton Camp was a military installation located between Saighton and Huntington covering an area of approximately 33 hectares.

St Paul's Church overlooks the River Dee in Boughton, Chester, Cheshire, England. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and, before its closure, was an Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of that diocese. In the series Buildings of England, the architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner stated that he regarded it as "the boldest of Douglas' church designs".It ceased to be a church in 2016, when it was closed by the Diocese, as it was found to be in very bad repair. It was named by the Victorian Society as one of the Top Ten Heritage Buildings at Risk for 2016.
