Moe Pond is a small man-made lake in Otsego County, New York, located northwest of Cooperstown. Moe Pond drains south via Willow Brook, which flows into Otsego Lake. Mount Ovis is located east and Hannah's Hill is located southeast of Moe Pond. The pond was named for Henry Allen Moe, a past member of the New York State Historical Association. Moe Pond was created in 1939. The pond and surrounding area is currently privately owned by the State University of New York at Oneonta (SUNY Oneonta), which uses it for educational and research purposes only.

The Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard is a historic water-powered cider mill on the banks of Fly Creek. The marketplace at the mill has more than 300 specialty foods, including fresh mill-made fudge, mill-aged extra-sharp cheddar cheese, salsa, apple wines and hard ciders. The Tasting Room offers samples and tasting flights of the Mill's Farm Winery Products. The mill pond has an observation deck with tables to get lunch from the Snack Barn Restaurant and Bakery, including ice cream delights and the famous cider float. During summer months the Mill is home to the popular Coopertown Pin Trade Program. The mill is open spring through December (Check website for more hours) and located at the corner of CR 26 and Goose Street north of the hamlet of Fly Creek, New York, which is 3.5 miles west of Cooperstown, New York off of State Route 28N and 80W. The Fly Creek Cider Mill is part of the Cooperstown Beverage Trail.

Fly Creek Historic District is a national historic district located at Fly Creek in Otsego County, New York. It encompasses 111 contributing buildings, three contributing sites, and 88 contributing structures. The district incorporates three hamlet clusters: Pail Shop Corners, Village of Fly Creek (unincorporated), Marvin Mills, collectively known as "Fly Creek." The district includes the separately listed Fly Creek Grange No. 844 and Fly Creek Methodist Church. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Mount Ovis is a mountain in Central New York region of New York by Cooperstown. It was named around 1813, by James Fenimore Cooper's grandfather, who kept on it some of the first imported Merino sheep (Ovis aries). One was a famous ram named Sinbad, that was killed by falling into the well. Moe Pond is located west of Mount Ovis.

Fly Creek Methodist Church, also known as First Methodist Episcopal Society in Fly Creek, is a historic Methodist church on County Route 26, north of the junction with conjoined NY 28 and NY 80 in Fly Creek, Otsego County, New York. It was built in 1838 and is a plain, clapboarded, timber-frame building on a fieldstone foundation with a frontal gable in the Greek Revival style. The interior configuration is a modification of the Akron plan. It is located within the boundaries of the Fly Creek Historic District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The hamlet was once served by the Southern New York Railroad, an electric trolley line that ran from Oneonta to Mohawk.

Fly Creek Grange No. 844, also known as Fly Creek Area Historical Society and Museum, is a historic Grange Hall located at Fly Creek in Otsego County, New York. It was built in 1899, is a large 2+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed, rectangular frame structure, 30 feet wide and 80 feet deep. It is sheathed in clapboard siding and rests on a cut stone and rubble foundation. It is located within the boundaries of the Fly Creek Historic District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Chapin Memorial Church is a historic Universalist church at 12 Ford Avenue in Oneonta, Otsego County, New York. It was built in 1894 and is a one and a half-story brick building on a tall, cut stone foundation. The facade consists of two parts: the main body of the church and the engaged three stage tower and entrance bay. It is characterized by an eclectic design that combines features characteristic of the Romanesque, Gothic Revival, and Queen Anne styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Farmers' Museum is a museum located in Otsego, New York, just north of Cooperstown. It recreates rural life from the 19th century through exhibits and interactive workshops. There are more than two dozen authentic, historic buildings on the grounds, including a tavern, a farmstead, a printing office, a pharmacy, a blacksmith's shop, a doctor's office and a general store. There are also exhibits of nineteenth-century games, a children's barnyard and the Cardiff Giant. The Farmers' Museum is home to the Empire State Carousel, a hand-crafted merry-go-round which celebrates New York State's history, culture and environment, built on a vintage 1947 36-foot Alan Herschell carousel mechanism. The carousel is the result of efforts made by carver Gerry Holzman of Islip, NY and over 1,000 volunteers from across New York State. The entire production took over two decades. Its artwork incorporates 25-hand carved animals that represent the agricultural and natural resources of New York State.

Hannah's Hill also known as Irish Hill is a mountain in the Central New York region of New York by Cooperstown. It is named after Hannah Cooper who died at age 23 after a fall from a horse. Moe Pond is located northwest of Hannah's Hill.
