Xiwei Bridge (Chinese: 溪尾大橋; pinyin: Xīwěi Dàqiáo) is a bridge across the Dadu River in Wuri District, Taichung City, Taiwan. The bridge connects Taichung with Xiwei Village, a pene-exclave on the southwest bank of the river. Another bridge, known as the Xiwei Second Bridge (Chinese: 溪尾二橋), serves as the road's westward extension into Fenyuan Township, Changhua County.

Baguashan Tunnel (Chinese: 八卦山隧道) is a railway tunnel through Baguashan in Taiwan, located between Taichung HSR station and Changhua HSR station. With a route length of 7,357 meters, it is the longest tunnel on Taiwan High Speed Rail. Mileage of Baguashan Tunnel is TK173+021to TK180+378.

The Baguashan Tunnel (Chinese: 八卦山隧道), on Provincial Highway No. 76, Taiwan, transverses Baguashan (八卦山) between Lincuo IC. (林厝交流道) and Zhongxing JCT. (中興系統交流道). The length of the north tube for westbound traffic is 4,928 m (3.062 mi). The length of the south tube for eastbound traffic is 4,935 m (3.066 mi). Connecting Yuanlin, Changhua and Caotun, Nantou, its opening significantly reduced the travel time between Changhua and Nantou. It was the longest highway tunnel in Taiwan when opened to traffic in April 2005, until the top rank moved to Hsuehshan Tunnel in National Highway No. 5 in June 2006. It is now the second longest highway tunnel in Taiwan.

Wuri District (Chinese: 烏日區; pinyin: Wūrì Qū) is a district in southern Taichung, Taiwan. Both of the two north–south freeways (National Freeway 1 and National Freeway 3), as well as Provincial Highway 74 pass through Wuri. Wuri is also home to a large military training centre, Chengkungling, as well as Taichung HSR station, which can connect to Taiwan High Speed Rail, Taiwan Railways, and Green line of Taichung Metro.

National Freeway 3 (Chinese: 國道三號; pinyin: Guódào sān hào), also known as Formosa Freeway (Chinese: 福爾摩沙高速公路; pinyin: Fúěrmóshā gāosù gōnglù), is a freeway in Taiwan. It is the second north–south freeway in Taiwan, beginning in Keelung City at Jijin Interchange on the provincial highway 2 (Jijin Road) and ending in Linbian, Pingtung on the provincial highway 17. It is the longest freeway in Taiwan with a total length of 431.5 km (268.1 mi). The freeway is also the only one in Taiwan to have a spur route, Freeway 3A. The highway has 58 interchanges, 15 junctions, 7 service areas and 3 rest areas en route. Aside from the 58 public interchanges, there are also some interchanges reserved for governmental usage.

Mingdao High School is a private secondary school located at 497, Sec 1, Zhongshan Road, Wuri District, Taichung, Taiwan 41401. The school serves grades 7-12. There are 7,510 students. The school is served by the Ming Dao high school bus station. Mingdao teaches 7 major subjects: Chinese, English, math, science, social science, information, and liberal arts.

Nantun is a metro station on the Green Line operated by Taichung Metro in Nantun District, Taichung, Taiwan.

Wuri (Chinese: 烏日; Hanyu Pinyin: Wūrì; Tongyong Pinyin: Wurìh) is a metro station on the Green line of Taichung Metro. Although the station has the same name as Wuri railway station, the stations are not connected and are approximately 300 meters apart.

Xinwuri (Chinese: 新烏日; pinyin: Xīnwūrì; lit. 'New Black Day/Sun') is a railway station in Wuri District, Taichung, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways. It is connected to Taichung HSR station via a bridge, and also has a connection to Taichung HSR Station metro station.

The Taichung Basin (Chinese: 臺中盆地; pinyin: Táizhōng Péndì), located in the central region of western Taiwan, is the third largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. It occupies parts of Taichung City, Nantou County and Changhua County. The basin borders the Choshui River in the south; the hill lands of Nantou in the east; the Tatu Plateau in the northwest; and the Pakua Plateau in the southwest. A notch connecting the Taichung Basin to the seacoast of Taichung City stretches between the two plateaus.
