The University Hospital Mannheim is a maximum care hospital with many specialisations. It currently consists of 21 specialised clinics, all situated on a historic campus in the centre of Mannheim and focuses on interdisciplinary and interprofessional cooperation of its physicians in the treatment of its patients. Unlike most German university hospitals, the University Hospital Mannheim is not owned by the state but by the municipality of Mannheim. The Mannheim medical faculty is part of the renowned Heidelberg University.

The Luisenpark is a municipal park in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on the left bank of the Neckar river and has an area of 41 hectares. The lower Luisenpark (Unterer Luisenpark) is the oldest part which is conserved as a historic garden. The upper Luisenpark (Oberer Luisenpark) includes various attractions, such as a greenhouse, an arboretum, a Chinese garden, "gondoletta" boats, and a variety of facilities for children. Along with the Herzogenriedpark (33 hectares; located on the other side of Neckar) the upper Luisenpark is operated by the non-profit Stadtpark Mannheim GmbH.

The Eichbaum beer brewing company is located in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It was founded in 1679 by Mannheim's Councillor Jean du Chêne (which means "Oak tree", or "Eichbaum" in German). Today, the Eichbaum brewing company is owned by Actris AG. Dietmar Hopp, one founder of SAP AG, also owns Actris. In Mannheim, the beer is sometimes lovingly called corpse water. The brewery is located next to a graveyard and the brewing water is directly pumped from the earth. However, this has no impact on the water quality, because several waterproof clays protect the fountain water against impurities. During the time that University of Maryland University College had a campus in Mannheim, this beer was a popular choice among its students. In some graduation ceremonies Eichbaum representatives had been invited.

The Technoseum (former name State Museum of Technology and Work, German: Landesmuseum für Technik und Arbeit) is a technology museum in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with displays covering the industrialisation of the south-western regions of the country. The museum building was designed by the Berlin architect Ingeborg Kühler. Its planning and construction period lasted from 1982 to 1990.

Carl-Benz-Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Mannheim, Germany. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of SV Waldhof Mannheim. In 2008, it also hosted TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for the first half of that club's first season in the Bundesliga, until Hoffenheim's new stadium opened in January 2009. The stadium is able to hold 27,000 people and was built in 1994. It has floodlights, but no Under-soil heating. The architect was Folker Fiebiger. The Mannheim stadium was completed in 1927 on the site of today's Carl Benz stadium. It had a track and field track, held 35,000 spectators and played an international friendly match between Germany and Switzerland in 1929 that Germany won by 7–1.

Mannheimer Rosengarten is a concert hall and congress centre in Mannheim, Germany designed by German architect Bruno Schmitz. It was built between 1900 and 1903 in an Art Nouveau style, with a main hall that can accommodate up to 2,300 guests. Artists that have performed at Mannheimer Rosengarten include Sting, Simply Red and Whitesnake.Since 2017, the AnimagiC, one of the largest anime conventions in the German-speaking world, takes place here.

The Faculty of Medicine in Mannheim is one of twelve faculties at the University of Heidelberg and is located at University Hospital Mannheim. It was founded in 1964 with a purely clinical focus but in 2006, the Medical Faculty Mannheim was transformed into a comprehensive medical faculty covering both pre-clinical and clinical training. It comprises 11 institutes.The Faculty of Medicine in Mannheim has a particular research interest in medical technology. It thus works in close association with the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. Major concerns are the development of optical measuring techniques, the simulation of operative and diagnostic procedures, the development of operation support systems, the advancement of minimally invasive surgical techniques, and software development.

The Water Tower (German: Wasserturm) is a well-known landmark of Mannheim, Germany. The water tower was built from 1886 to 1889 on the present Frederick Square (Friedrichsplatz) by Gustav Halmhuber. The tower, which is 60 meters high and 19 meters in diameter, was Mannheim's first urban water tower. It initially had to meet with the required standards as a drinking water supply while maintaining steady water pressure. After the construction of the higher Luzenberg water tower in 1909, the Mannheim water tower served as an aboveground water tank until 2000.

The Kunsthalle Mannheim is a museum of modern and contemporary art, built in 1907, established in 1909 and located in Mannheim, Germany. Since then it has housed the city's art collections as well as temporary exhibitions – and up to 1927 those of the local Mannheimer Kunstverein as well as its administration.

The Alte Feuerwache is a music venue and former fire station located in Mannheim, Germany. Opened in 1912 as a fire station, it was converted into a music venue in the early 1990s. Alte Feuerwache has hosted artists such as Dio, Motörhead and Arctic Monkeys.
