Albertson, New York

Albertson is a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Oyster Bay Branch. The station is on the north side of I.U. Willets Road at Albertson Avenue in Albertson, New York. However the parking lot is on the south side of I.U. Willets Road. The Clark Botanic Garden is located adjacent to the station.

Henry Viscardi School is a state supported special school operated by the Viscardi Center in New York for severely disabled students requiring a specialized educational setting with medical supports. The location is in Albertson, New York. The school enrolls students in grades pre-K through 12. The school was originally called The Human Resources School. Founded by Henry Viscardi Jr. and supported by public and private initiatives, the tuition-free school was the only one of its kind in the world. It was renamed in honor of its founder.The school's president John D. Kemp, himself born without full arms or legs, has won the Henry B. Betts award known as the USA's highest honor for disability leadership and service and the 2014 Dole Leadership Prize for public inspiration.

Herricks High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school with 1450 students accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Middle States Association. The school is located in Searingtown, New York, 20 miles east of Manhattan. Dr. Tony Sinanis is the superintendent of Herricks Union Free School District. He succeeded Dr. Fino Celano after the 2021-2022 school year. This school was involved in one of the major Supreme Court rulings affecting prayer in public schools in 1959. This school also received the National Blue Ribbon school distinction in 2017. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,373 students and 94.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.6:1. East Williston Village Historic District is a national historic district located at East Williston in Nassau County, New York. It includes 26 contributing buildings and one contributing site. It encompasses the largely intact 19th and early 20th century residential and commercial core of the village. The earliest extant building is the Willis farmhouse, dated to the early 19th century. The district's commercial center is Station Plaza, located at the 19th century railroad station.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

It is named for and dedicated after the late writer Christopher Morley, who lived a few blocks away in Roslyn Estates. It occupies 98 acres (40 ha) of land, and was once part of the Nettie Ryan Estate.
