East Williston station

East Williston Village Historic District is a national historic district located at East Williston in Nassau County, New York. It includes 26 contributing buildings and one contributing site. It encompasses the largely intact 19th and early 20th century residential and commercial core of the village. The earliest extant building is the Willis farmhouse, dated to the early 19th century. The district's commercial center is Station Plaza, located at the 19th century railroad station.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

East Williston is an incorporated village in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 2,556 at the 2010 census.

Mineola is a village in and the county seat of Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 18,799 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from an Algonquin Chief, Miniolagamika, which means "pleasant village".The Incorporated Village of Mineola is located primarily in the Town of North Hempstead, with the exception being a small portion of its southern edge within the Town of Hempstead. Old Country Road runs along the village's southern border. The area serviced by the Mineola Post Office extends farther south into the adjacent village of Garden City, where the Old Nassau County Courthouse is located. Offices of many Nassau County agencies are in both Mineola and Garden City.

Wheatley Hills Golf Club, is a 110-acre (45 ha) country club and golf course in East Williston, New York. It was established in 1913 from land purchased from William Titus for forty eight dollars per acre. The Titus homestead was converted into the clubhouse. Adjacent to the property is the Long Island Motor Parkway built by William Kissam Vanderbilt II where he held auto races and awarded the Vanderbilt Cup. Also adjacent is the property of Harry Payne Whitney.

The U.S. Post Office in Mineola, New York serves the ZIP Code 11501, covering that community in the Towns of North Hempstead and Hempstead, New York, United States, the seat of Long Island's Nassau County. It is located on the northeast corner of the junction of First and Main Streets. It is a brick building in the Colonial Revival architectural style built in 1936 as part of a massive Depression-era public works project that built many new post offices all over New York. Unusually among New York post offices in that style from that time, it was built in a rough hexagonal shape so that its main entrance could face southwest, towards the corner. It was also one of the last works of the firm of Peabody, Wilson & Brown. For these reasons it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the only property in Mineola listed so far.

Nassau Tower was the Long Island Rail Road's interlocking and signal tower for NASSAU Interlocking at Mineola Junction, just east of the Mineola station, from 1923 until 2020. As part of LIRR's Main Line Expansion Project, which is creating a third track along the Main Line between Floral Park and Hicksville stations, the tower was decommissioned and demolished.

Chaminade High School is a Roman Catholic Marianist college preparatory high school for boys in Mineola on Long Island, New York. Chaminade’s main campus is also home to Saragossa Retreat Center, one of their three retreat houses.

Albertson is a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Oyster Bay Branch. The station is on the north side of I.U. Willets Road at Albertson Avenue in Albertson, New York. However the parking lot is on the south side of I.U. Willets Road. The Clark Botanic Garden is located adjacent to the station.

All trains for the Port Jefferson, Ronkonkoma, and Oyster Bay branches run through this station, as well as a few for the Montauk Branch. It is the eighth-busiest station on the LIRR in terms of weekday boardings, with 10,348 boardings per day in 2006.

NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island is a hospital in Mineola, New York that is the Long Island hospital base of NYU Langone Health System. It was founded in 1896 as Nassau Hospital and was later renamed to Winthrop-University Hospital.
