The Hilton Central School District (HCSD) is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 4,500 students in the village of Hilton and the towns of Clarkson, Greece, Hamlin and Parma in Monroe County, with over 800 full and part-time employees and an operating budget of $81 million. The average class size is 20-25(K-6), 20-26(6-12) students and the student-teacher ratio is 12:1.Dr. Casey Kosiorek is the Superintendent of Schools. The Board of Education (BOE) consists of 7 members who serve rotating 3-year terms. Elections are held each May for board members and to vote on the School District Budget. Curtis-Crumb Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Hilton in Monroe County, New York. The farmhouse was constructed in about 1845 and is a modest example of the rural Greek Revival style. The property also includes a carriage house, a hog pen, a smoke house, a corn crib, a 270-foot-long (82 m) stone wall, a cedar split-rail fence, and the remaining 141 acres (57 ha) of the original 145-acre (59 ha) farm.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

It is constructed of rather small sized field cobbles and is one of ten surviving cobblestone buildings in the Town of Parma.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

North Star School District No. 11, also known as the North Star History Center, is a historic one-room school building located at Hamlin, Monroe County, New York. It was built in 1844, and is a one-story, Greek Revival style brick building. It rests on a Medina sandstone foundation and has a front gable roof with a prominent cornice and topped by a bell tower. It has a front porch added in 1912 and rear frame additions added about 1952. Also on the property are two contributing wooden privies and a coal house (c. 1880). The school closed in 1952, and subsequently used as a community center and local history museum since 1987.: 3, 7 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

New York's 25th congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives. It is currently represented by Democrat Joseph Morelle. Since 2023, the district has been located within Monroe County and part of Orleans County, centered on the city of Rochester. In the 2018 race, the seat was vacant. State Assembly Member Joseph Morelle (Democrat) faced James Maxwell (Republican, Conservative, Reform), in the general election, which Morelle won handily. Morelle went on to win reelection in 2020 and 2022.

It is constructed of medium-sized field cobbles and is one of four surviving cobblestone buildings in Greece. The property includes a contributing cobblestone well with pump.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
