Nelson, New York

Nelson Welsh Congregational Church is a historic Congregational church located at Nelson, Madison County, New York. It was built in 1876, and is a one-story, three bay by four bay, timber-frame structure with a gable roof and stone foundation. It measures 34 feet by 55 feet. It features a three-stage bell tower with octagonal spire. Also on the property are a contributing privy and cemetery. The cemetery contains the graves of Nelson's earliest settlers with the oldest stone dated to 1809. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Abell Farmhouse and Barn was built in 1870. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The Abell Farmhouse is an Italianate building. It is part of the Cazenovia Town Multiple Resource Area. In July 2021, the Farmhouse burned down in an overnight fire.

Tuscarora Lake, also called Erieville Reservoir, is located near Erieville, New York. The lake was created in 1850 as a feeder for the Erie Canal and is still used as a feeder for the canal. Tuscarora Lake is the highest reservoir in New York State. The lake is stocked with fish each year with funds that are provided by donations and proceeds from the ice-fishing derby. Fish species that are present in the lake include pumpkinseed sunfish, walleye, and largemouth bass.

Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is an outdoor sculpture park located near Cazenovia, New York. It is open every day from dawn to dusk. The Art Park provides visitors the opportunity to explore unique outdoor artwork amidst 104 acres of conserved land, along four miles of trails, with vista views of the breathtaking rural landscape of Cazenovia and Madison County in Central New York. Inspired by the relationship between art and nature, the Art Park is dedicated to providing a unique environment for emerging and established artists to produce and showcase works in natural and gallery settings. Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is a non-profit organization that relies on memberships and donations to support its programs. Its mission is to educate and engage people and landscape through exhibitions, workshops, tours, and community outreach programs in the arts. In addition to its art and nature programming, the Art Park catalyzes the production of site specific works of art through its Artist in Residence Program. Since its incorporation in 1991, over 100 artists from 19 states and 8 foreign countries have created artwork that responds to the landscape of Stone Quarry Hill Art Park.

The frame farmhouse was built about 1835 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular frame residence in the Greek Revival style. It features a gable roof and monumental classical portico of fluted Doric order columns. Also on the property are two historic barns. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Zephnia Comstock Farmhouse is a historic home located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. It is a two-story, five-bay, rectangular frame structure with a gable roof built about 1830 in the Federal style. Also on the property is a late 19th-century barn. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Crandall Farm Complex is a historic home and farm complex located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. The frame farmhouse was built about 1870 and is a two-story, frame residence in the vernacular Italianate style. Also on the property are two barns, carriage house, privy, shed, and cobblestone well house. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Sweetland Farmhouse is a historic farmhouse located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. It was built about 1825 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular, frame residence with a gable roof and in the Federal style. Also on the property is a garage, shed, and chicken house. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Rolling Ridge Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. The farmhouse was built about 1837 and is a two-story, rectangular, brick residence with a gable roof and in the Federal style. Also on the property are two frame barns and a carriage house converted to gallery space. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Lehigh Valley Railroad Depot is a historic railroad depot building located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. It was built in 1894 as a depot for the Elmira, Cortland and Northern Railroad, later the Lehigh Valley Railroad. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular, gable-roofed, largely clapboarded structure. It is a distinctive example of the Stick-Eastlake–style architecture. It was abandoned by the railroad in 1965. This was a stop on the Lehigh Valley's Elmira and Cortland Branch which actually went to Canastota and Camden, on the section between Cortland and Canastota. Service was eliminated by the early 1940s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Parker Farmhouse is a historic farmhouse located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. It was built about 1820 and is a 1+1⁄2-story rectangular frame residence in a Saltbox form. It was "modernized" in the 1860s, at which time a front verandah was added. Also on the property are two barns, a wagon shed, and corn crib. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
