Groveland, New York

Sparta First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at Groveland Station in Livingston County, New York. The building is a simple but sophisticated combination of Arts and Crafts principals and freely styled Tudor Gothic detailing executed with modern building materials. It was constructed in 1915-1916 and is composed of a large principal gable block with a gabled wing. It features a crenellated tower rising a full story above the ridgeline of the roofs. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Black and White Farm Barn is a historic barn located near Sonyea in Livingston County, New York. It is a large two story wood-frame building built in 1884 on a 600-acre (2.4 km2) farm. The barn is rectangular in plan and measures 160 feet (49 m) in length and 200 feet (61 m) in depth. It features a central courtyard which measures approximately 80 feet (24 m) in length and 120 feet (37 m) in depth. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Livingston Correctional Facility was a medium security state prison in Sonyea, Livingston County, New York, owned and operated by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Livingston was opened in 1991, held 881 adult male inmates at medium security level, and was immediately adjacent to the state's Groveland Correctional Facility. It was closed on September 1, 2019.

The Boyd and Parker ambush was a minor military engagement in what is now Groveland, New York on September 13, 1779, during the American Revolutionary War. A scouting patrol of the Sullivan Expedition was ambushed by Loyalist soldiers led by Major John Butler and their Seneca allies led by Cornplanter and Little Beard.

Groveland Correctional Facility is a medium security prison located in the Town of Groveland in Livingston County, New York, in the United States. The facility is located next to the community of Sonyea in Groveland on the site of a former Shaker community. The town is south of Rochester, Monroe County, New York, near Interstate 390. The prison is divided into 2 parts, upper and lower, with a fence and sally port to restrict movement between the two. Dorms C-J, the prison hospital and food service are on the upper. Dorms K and L, as well as the commissary, school, church and recreation yards are on the lower. The recreation yards feature 3 softball diamonds, a weight yard and horseshoe pits. In the past, female prisoners were held at Groveland, but it is currently a male facility. As of 2010 Groveland had a working capacity of 1106.

Elias H. Geiger House, also known as the Geiger-Weidman House, is a historic home located at Ossian near Dansville in Livingston County, New York. It is a large two story wood frame Italianate style building built in 1866 or 1867 by master carpenter Elias H. Geiger. Also on the property are two contributing barns constructed in 1937.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
