Rushall Canal

Rushall Junction (or Newton Junction) (grid reference SP030947) is the southern limit of the Rushall Canal where it meets the Tame Valley Canal in the West Midlands, England. It opened in 1847, when the Rushall Canal was built to create connections between the Birmingham Canal Navigations system and the Wyrley and Essington Canal, following the amalgamation of the two companies in 1840.

Bishop Asbury Cottage (grid reference SP 03150 93920) is a 17th-century cottage on Newton Road, Great Barr, England, known for being the boyhood home of Francis Asbury (1745 – 1816), one of the first two bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church (now The United Methodist Church) in the United States. It is now a museum in his memory.

The Mission Church of the Annunciation is a Church of England church in Walsall, West Midlands. Within the parish of St Gabriel's, Fullbrook, it serves the Tamebrige and Yew Tree estate, built by West Bromwich Council in 1956.

The Tame Valley Canal is a relatively late (1844) canal in the West Midlands of England. It forms part of the Birmingham Canal Navigations. It takes its name from the roughly-parallel River Tame.

Charlemont with Grove Vale is a political ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, in the English Midlands constituency of West Bromwich East. This Sandwell ward population as taken at the 2011 census was 11,964.The ward is made up of several neighbourhoods including Charlemont Farm, Bustlehome Mill, Church Vale, and the leafier neighbourhoods of Charlemont, Bird End, Wigmore and Grove Vale. It also covers part of the Sandwell Valley.

The Yew Tree Estate is a residential area of Walsall and West Bromwich located at the border with both Sandwell and the Walsall Borough in the West Midlands County, England. The Sandwell Ward is called Great Barr with Yew Tree with which at the 2011 census had a population of 12,597.The area compromises of housing, small shops, a church, a community centre and healthcare centre.

Q3 Academy Great Barr (formerly Dartmouth High School) is a coeducational secondary school located on Wilderness Lane in Great Barr, West Midlands, England, near the border with Birmingham. It comes within the borders of Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell.

Newton Road railway station was a station of the London and North Western Railway in Sandwell between West Bromwich and Great Barr, England. It lay between Hamstead and the later Tame Bridge Parkway stations on what is now known as the Chase Line. As one of the original Grand Junction Railway stations, Newton Road opened in 1837,: 17  (at grid reference SP025935; 52.5399°N 1.9639°W / 52.5399; -1.9639 (Newton Road railway station (1st))) but under subsequent LNWR control, it was deemed that a more suitable site should be found, and the station was shifted a short distance north-west along the track in 1863 to the junction of Ray Hall Lane with the railway (at grid reference SP022939; 52.5439°N 1.9679°W / 52.5439; -1.9679 (Newton Road railway station (2nd)); a location now buried under the M5 motorway). However, this move yielded few dividends in passenger numbers, so the station was shifted back near its original position on Newton Road in 1902, where it stayed until final closure in 1945.

Red House Park is a public park in Great Barr, Sandwell, England. It is named after the country house in whose grounds it was established. The park features two lakes, and an obelisk in memory of Princess Charlotte.

Sandwell Valley RSPB reserve (grid reference SP017913) is a nature reserve, run by the RSPB, in Sandwell Valley, to the north of West Bromwich, in the Sandwell borough of West Midlands in England. It is adjacent to, and shares its main lake with, Sandwell Valley Country Park and near the settlement of Hamstead. In March 2010 the visitor centre was destroyed in an arson attack. A new centre has replaced it.

Tame Bridge Parkway is a railway station in the north of the borough of Sandwell, in the West Midlands, England, close to the boundary with Walsall. The station is operated by West Midlands Railway. It is situated on the Walsall Line 9 miles (14 km) north of Birmingham New Street, part of the former Grand Junction Railway, opened in 1837. The station was opened by British Rail in 1990, having been built at a cost of £600,000. It takes its name from the nearby River Tame. Pedestrian and vehicular access is via the A4031 Walsall Road.

Forge Mill Lake is a local nature reserve in Sandwell Valley, near West Bromwich in West Midlands, England. It is within Sandwell Valley Country Park.
