Margaretville, New York

The Galli-Curci Theatre is located on Main Street (state highway NY 30) in Margaretville, New York, United States. It is a brick building erected in the 1920s, now primarily used as a store, although some of the original theater remains. It was named after opera singer Amelita Galli-Curci, who summered at her historic country estate near Margaretville from 1922 to 1937 and sang at its opening night. It was built by local entrepreneur Clarke Sanford to house two pioneering businesses in the region, a car dealership and silent movie theater and offices of the Catskill Mountain News. Under later owners, it continued to show movies until 1985. It was modified afterwards for reuse as an antique store, but has remained mostly intact from its period of cinematic use. In 2006 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is currently a mixed-use jewelry store and office space.

Van Benschoten House and Guest House is a historic home and guest house located at Margaretville in Delaware County, New York, United States. It is an example of late 19th summer boarding house design applied to a working farmhouse. The main house was built about 1890 and its exterior massing of the two story main residence is broken up into four gabled pavilions emanating from a hipped-roof core in the Queen Anne style. It features an octagonal tower with a tall pointed roof. Also on the property is a cow barn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Pakatakan Artists Colony Historic District is a national historic district located at Arkville in Delaware County, New York. The district contains 33 contributing buildings and two contributing structures built between 1886 and the 1960s. It consists of a small mountainside collection of studios and residences clustered about the original Pakatakan Lodge. It is an extremely well preserved collection of unusual Shingle Style and other wood frame seasonal buildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Arkville station, MP 48.1 on the Ulster and Delaware Railroad (U&D), and MP 37.52 on the Delaware and Northern Railroad (D&N), was another busy station, as this served as a junction between the two railroads. This station bore a strong resemblance to the Grand Hotel station and the Pine Hill station, which both looked like longer versions of the Mount Pleasant station.

Arkville is built either on or very close to the site of an old Lenape village called Pakatagkan. The main office of the Catskill Center for Conservation and Development is located in the Erpf House along Route 28. The hamlet straddles the Catskill Park Blue Line, which moves from the former Ulster and Delaware Railroad tracks to Dry Brook and then the East Branch of the Delaware River a short distance to the west.

The former District 10 School is located just north of state highways 28 and 30 south of Margaretville, New York, United States. It is a stone one-room schoolhouse built, demolished and rebuilt in the middle of the 19th century. It was the only structure left standing in the large area condemned by New York City when nearby Pepacton Reservoir was built. Today it serves as a local history museum. In 1998 it and its privy were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
