St. Mildred's Church is an Anglican church located in Tenterden in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. The church dates from about the 12th century and is Grade I heritage listed. The main tower of the church is 39.6 metres (130 feet) high and was constructed in 1461. It is dedicated to a prominent Anglo-Saxon saint, Saint Mildred—a 7th-century princess who served as the abbess of the nunnery at Minister-in-Thanet.

Tenterden Town railway station is a heritage railway station on the Kent and East Sussex Railway in Tenterden, Kent, England. When the railway line first opened in 1900, Rolvenden Station was known as "Tenterden". Its name was changed when the line extended north three years later and a station closer to Tenterden was constructed. The new Tenterden Town station opened on 16 March 1903. The line closed for regular passenger services on 4 January 1954 and all traffic in 1961. It reopened on 3 February 1974 under the aegis of the Tenterden Railway Company which bought the line between Tenterden and Bodiam. The station now houses the KESR's Carriage and Wagon works, and the Colonel Stephens Museum is located nearby.

The Cavell Van is the prototype Parcels and Miscellaneous Van (US: boxcar) built by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway in 1919. It is so named because it was the van which carried the body of Edith Cavell when it was repatriated to the United Kingdom following the end of the First World War. The van also carried the bodies of Charles Fryatt and The Unknown Warrior. The three were the only sets of British remains repatriated following the end of World War I. The van served with the South Eastern and Chatham Railway, the Southern Railway and British Railways before entering into preservation at the Kent and East Sussex Railway. The van was fully restored in 2010.

Turners Field is an 11-hectare (27-acre) nature reserve on the western outskirts of Tenterden in Kent. It is managed by Kent Wildlife Trust.This field is managed as part of an organic farm, and has grassland, a stream, a pond, scrub and mature woodland. Herbs include pepper saxifrage, black knapweed and bird's-foot trefoil.There is access from Drury Road.

The Sinden Theatre is located within the grounds of Homewood School in the heart of the Weald in Tenterden, Kent, England. It was opened in 2004 and is named after its patron, the actor and former local resident, the late Sir Donald Sinden CBE.The theatre was converted from an existing school hall at the time when Homewood was granted Arts College status in 2003 which enabled funding for conversion to a 231-seat theatrical venue to be carried out. The theatre is used for the school's own productions, local amateur dramatic groups and also as a commercial theatre hosting visiting performers. The theatre also allows various charities to hold fund-raising events on a no-fee basis. The school can provide restaurant facilities in the theatre to serve meals and drinks at some productions.

It has been awarded specialist Arts College status. It provides education for students from the town itself and surrounding villages. It is the largest secondary school in Kent and one of the 10 largest secondary schools in the United Kingdom as of the end of 2020. The school is current rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
