Wisner Stadium

Detroit Wheels were a United States soccer team based in Detroit, Michigan, that played in the USISL for two seasons. Owned by Antonio Soave and Greg Reynolds, the team was established in 1994. At the time the ownership intended to move up to the American Professional Soccer League for the 1995 season. However, mounting debts and a smaller than expected fan base saw them remain in the USISL. Wheels played the 1994 season in Wisner Stadium and were coached first by Mark Christenson and then by Mike Francis. The team was captained by Steve Burns, the former Michigan Wolverines men's soccer team head coach. The team was replaced in the USISL in 1996 by Detroit Dynamite.

The Wisner House, also known as Pine Grove, is a single-family house located at 405 Cesar Chavez Avenue in Pontiac, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. It is now a public museum, the Governor Moses Wisner House, operated by the Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society as part of the Pine Grove Historical Museum.

Pontiac Academy for Excellence (PAE) is a K-12 public charter school located in Pontiac, Michigan. Pontiac Academy for Excellence was established in 2000. The school is located at 196 Cesar E. Chavez Ave., Pontiac, Michigan 48343.

Pontiac Central High School was one of two public high schools in Pontiac, Michigan, United States. It had been an accredited high school from September 4, 1849, until its closing on June 12, 2009. By December 2008 administrators had plans to consolidate it with Pontiac Northern High School to form Pontiac High School.Until 1958, the school was known as Pontiac High School; it took on its final name upon the opening of Pontiac Northern High School, where the current Pontiac High School stands. The final incarnation of Pontiac Central, a precast concrete building, was built in 1972, replacing a brick building built in 1913.

The Horatio N. Howard House is a single-family house located at 403 North Saginaw in Pontiac, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Myrick-Palmer House is a single-family house located at 223 W. Huron Street in Pontiac, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The Franklin Boulevard Historic District is a primarily residential historic district located in Pontiac, Michigan along Franklin Boulevard between West Huron Street and Orchard Lake Avenue. It also contains structures along Mary Day and Henry Clay Avenues between Franklin and Miller, and some structure along West Huron between Franklin and Williams, and along West Lawrence between Williams and the railroad. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Pontiac ( POHN-(t)ee-ack) is a city in and the county seat of Oakland County, Michigan, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 61,606. A part of Metro Detroit, Pontiac is about 20 miles (32.2 km) northwest of Detroit. Founded in 1818, Pontiac was the second European-American organized settlement in Michigan near Detroit, after Dearborn. It was named after Pontiac, a war chief of the Ottawa Tribe, who occupied the area before the European settlers. The city was best known for its General Motors automobile manufacturing plants of the 20th century, which were the basis of its economy and contributed to the wealth of the region. These included Fisher Body, Pontiac East Assembly (a.k.a. Truck & Coach/Bus), which manufactured GMC products, and the Pontiac Motor Division. In the city's heyday, it was the site of the primary automobile assembly plant for the production of the famed Pontiac cars, a brand that was named after the city. The Pontiac brand itself was discontinued in 2010 by General Motors. The City of Pontiac also was home to Oakland Motor Car Company, which was acquired by General Motors in 1909. In 1975, the city built the Pontiac Silverdome, the stadium that hosted the Detroit Lions of the National Football League from 1975 to 2001, when the team returned to Downtown Detroit at Ford Field. Super Bowl XVI was played at the Silverdome in 1982. After 2001, the stadium continued to be used for concerts and other events until it was demolished in 2018. It is now the site of an Amazon Fulfillment and Distribution facility.

The Fairgrove Avenue Historic District is a residential historic district located along Fairgrove Avenue, between North Saginaw and Edison Streets, in Pontiac, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Sibley-Hoyt House is a historic house in Pontiac, Michigan that's center is a frame cabin dating to 1820 making it one of Pontiac's first structures. It was built by Solomon and Sarah Sibley, one of the founders of Pontiac. It is also the county's oldest house.

The Elmer R. Webster School is a former school building located at 640 West Huron Street in Pontiac, Michigan. The school building is being redeveloped into the Webster Community Center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.

The Clinton Valley Center (CVC), originally called the Eastern Michigan Asylum for the Insane, was a psychiatric hospital located at 140 Elizabeth Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan. The facility was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1974 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, with a decrease in its boundaries in 1986. The facility was closed in 1997 and demolished in 2000.
