Yeshivat Torat Shraga (or Yeshivas Toras Shraga) is a post-high school yeshiva in Bayit Vegan, Jerusalem. Rabbi Avishai David is the rosh yeshiva. It is located on the Yeshiva University Israel campus and conducts its Torah study in the Beis Medrash with the Yeshiva University Gruss Kollel.

The Holyland Case, named for the Holyland Park building complex in Jerusalem, was a high-profile corruption case in which top Israeli officials were charged with bribery and money laundering, among them former Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and former Mayor of Jerusalem Uri Lupolianski. Of the 13 defendants, three were acquitted and ten, including Olmert, were found guilty.

The Jerusalem College of Technology - Lev Academic Center (JCT; Hebrew: המרכז האקדמי לב) is a private college in Israel, recognized by the Council for Higher Education, which specializes in providing high-level science and technology education to the Jewish community. More than 2,000 of JCT's 4,700 students are ultra-Orthodox, and the remainder of the students are from diverse segments of Israeli society including Ethiopian-Israelis, national religious and international students. JCT's main campus ("Lev") is situated in the Givat Mordechai neighborhood of Jerusalem. Other branches are located in the Givat Shaul neighborhood ("Tal Campus") of Jerusalem and Ramat Gan ("Lustig Campus"). JCT offers bachelor's degrees and master's degrees in several fields of study combined with intensive Jewish studies.

Givat Mordechai, (Hebrew: גבעת מרדכי, trans: Mordechai's Hill) is a Jewish neighborhood in southwest-central Jerusalem, midway between the neighborhoods of Nayot and Malcha. The neighborhood was named after an American philanthropist, Maxwell (Mordechai) Abbell of Chicago.

Ramat Sharett (Hebrew: רמת שרת) (lit. "Sharett Heights") is a neighbourhood in southwest Jerusalem, located between Ramat Denya and Beit VeGan. The neighborhood was established in 1974 and named for Moshe Sharett, Prime Minister of Israel in 1953–1955.Ramat Sharett sits 860 meters above sea level.

The Jerusalem Arena (Hebrew: הארנה ירושלים, HaArena Yerushalayim), renamed for the National Lottery Mifal HaPais grant as Pais Arena Jerusalem (Hebrew: פיס ארנה ירושלים, HaPais Arena Yerushalayim), is a multi-purpose sports arena that was built in Jerusalem by the city council and National Lottery grant of Mifal HaPais. Opened in September 2014, the arena is located in the Jerusalem Sports Quarter, in the southwestern Malha neighborhood, adjacent to Teddy Stadium. The arena seats 11,000 for basketball games.

Rassco (Hebrew: רסקו, officially Givat Havradim - "Rose Hill") is a neighborhood in central Jerusalem, built by the Rassco housing company. Rassco is located between Rehavia and Katamon. Young families moving into the neighborhood have planted a communal garden as part of a wider initiative in Jerusalem to cultivate interest in nature and environmental protection.

Teddy Stadium (Hebrew: אצטדיון טדי) is a sports stadium in Jerusalem. Two major Israeli football clubs currently use it as their home ground: Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Jerusalem. The Israel national football team also uses it for select home matches. The stadium is named after long-time Mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek, who was in office during the time of its initial construction and was one of its prominent advocates.

Azrieli College of Engineering Jerusalem (Hebrew: עזריאלי-המכללה להנדסה ירושלים) is an Israeli public academic college that trains engineers. It is located in the Ramat Beit HaKerem neighborhood of Jerusalem, between Jerusalem's two major high-tech industrial areas, Har Hotzvim and the Jerusalem Technology Park.

Israel Goldstein Youth Village, known in Hebrew as the Havat HaNoar HaTzioni (Hebrew: חוות הנוער הציוני), is a youth village and high school in Jerusalem, Israel.

The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens (JBG), originally planned as successor to the National Botanic Garden of Israel on Mount Scopus which, nevertheless, still exists as a separate entity, is located in the neighborhood of Nayot in Jerusalem, on the southeastern edge of the Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The garden is arranged in phytogeographic sections, featuring flora of various regions around the world. The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens opened to the public in 1985. The tropical conservatory opened in 1986 and the South Africa section was planted in 1989. The Hank Greenspan Entrance Plaza, Dvorsky Visitors’ Center and restaurant were built in 1990.

A suicide bombing on an Egged bus was carried out by Hamas in Jerusalem on June 18, 2002, killing 19 people and wounding over 74. 17 of the dead were residents of Gilo.
