Buranda is a neighbourhood in the southern Brisbane suburbs of Greenslopes and Woolloongabba in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia.The location is an important transport hub for southern Brisbane. Logan Road and Ipswich Road pass through the area as does the South East Busway with a station called Buranda busway station. The Pacific Motorway passes through the area. There is also the Buranda railway station on the Cleveland railway line. The Centro Buranda Shopping Centre is located at Buranda. This opened in 1978, originally named Buranda Plaza. The site historically was occupied by Buranda's tram depot followed by Buranda Bus Depot, prior to redevelopment into the shopping mall. A brick heritage-listed Brisbane City Council ventilation shaft, built in 1913, is located in the centre's carpark.

The former Dispenser's House of Diamantina Hospital is now the heritage-listed Diamantina Health Care Museum at Cornwall Street, Woolloongabba, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Thomas Pye of the Queensland Government Architect's Office and built in 1908 by W Chaplain. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 3 July 2007.

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) is Australia's first translational medical research institute dedicated to translating scientific discoveries into applications for medical practice.Located in Woolloongabba, in inner-city Brisbane, Queensland, TRI is supported by a grant from the Australian Government ($140 million); and funding from the Queensland Government ($107 million); Queensland University of Technology ($25 million); and The University of Queensland ($10 million) to combine clinical and translational research to advance progress from laboratory discovery to application in patient care. Hefferan Park Air Raid Shelter is a heritage-listed former air raid shelter at 260 Annerley Road, Annerley, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Frank Gibson Costello and built in c. 1942 by the Brisbane City Council. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 6 April 2005.

Dutton Park railway station is located on the Beenleigh line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Dutton Park. The station is one of the oldest on the network.To the west of the station lies the NSW North Coast dual gauge line primarily used by Gold Coast, NSW TrainLink XPT and freight services.On 1 April 2023, the station was temporarily closed for Cross River Rail works and is expected to reopen in late 2024.

Boggo Road busway station is located in Brisbane, Australia serving the suburb of Dutton Park. It opened on 3 August 2009, as part of the Eastern Busway from UQ Lakes to Buranda.The busway platforms at Boggo Road are numbered 5 and 6 to align with the platforms at the adjacent Park Road railway station.

H.M. Prison Brisbane, more commonly known as Boggo Road Gaol, was Queensland's main prison from the 1880s to the 1980s. By the time it closed, it had become notorious for poor conditions and rioting. Located on Annerley Road in Dutton Park, an inner southern suburb of Brisbane, it is the only surviving intact gaol in Queensland that reflects penological principles of the 19th century. After closing in 1992, the larger 1960s section was demolished, leaving the heritage listed section (built as a women's prison in 1905). It was officially known as "Brisbane Gaol" but was commonly known as "Boggo Road" after the original name of the Annerley Road. A new street formed after 1996 now has the name Boggo Road.

Gair Park is a heritage-listed park and memorial at 181 Annerley Road, Dutton Park, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1936 onwards. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 5 April 2004.
