The Oceanport School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Oceanport, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The district also includes students from Sea Bright, who attend as part of a sending/receiving relationship.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising two schools, had an enrollment of 599 students and 61.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.8:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.For ninth through twelfth grades, public school students attend Shore Regional High School, a regional high school that also serves students from the constituent districts of Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright and West Long Branch. The high school is located in West Long Branch and is part of the Shore Regional High School District. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 649 students and 57.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.3:1.

Oceanport Draw is railroad moveable bridge over the Oceanport Creek (MP 8.4), a tributary of the Shrewsbury River, in Oceanport in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It is owned and operated by New Jersey Transit Rail Operations (NJT).

Monmouth Park is a seasonal NJ Transit commuter rail station on the North Jersey Coast Line, located in Oceanport, New Jersey, and serving the current Monmouth Park Racetrack. The first two locations of Monmouth Park were inside now-closed Fort Monmouth. Both those locations had dedicated rail sidings owned by The Monmouth Park Railroad. Railway service to the current Monmouth Park began in 1946. There were two stations: a diesel-only terminal station, and an electric-compatible station. The diesel-only stop was where the special Pony Express service terminated, until the end of the 2005 racing season. That terminal station was located inside the racetrack's property accessed by a dedicated siding off of the current NJ Transit rail line. That service was discontinued afterwards and so this area is no longer used as a train station (since filled over). During the 2007 Breeders Cup, the area where the single-track station is located served as a hospitality center/entrance. The mainline electrified station is located approximately 1⁄4 mile (0.40 km) from the track's entrance on Port-Au-Peck Avenue. This station is served at least once an hour from approximately 10:30 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on Fridays and race days during the racing season.

Monmouth Park Racetrack is an American race track for thoroughbred horse racing in Oceanport, New Jersey, United States. It is owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and is operated under a five-year lease as a partnership with Darby Development, LLC.Monmouth Park's marquee event is the Haskell Invitational, named after Amory L. Haskell. The Haskell was first run in 1968 as a handicap, but was made into an Invitational Handicap in 1981. It is now a 1⅛-mile test for three-year-olds run in late July. Monmouth Park also now showcases the Jersey Derby originally run at Garden State Park until its closure in 2001. The racetrack's season spans from early May to Labor Day in early September.

Shore Regional High School is a regional public high school and school district serving students from four communities in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The high school serves students from the constituent municipalities of Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Sea Bright and West Long Branch, where the school is located.Students from Interlaken attend public school in the West Long Branch Public Schools for K-8 and Shore Regional High School for grades 9–12, as part of sending/receiving relationships with the districts in which students attend on a tuition basis, having ended a longstanding relationship with the Asbury Park Public Schools, as do students from Loch Arbour, New Jersey, who began attending schools in West Long Branch for K-8 and Shore Regional for 9–12 starting in the 2017–18 school year, after leaving the Ocean Township School District. Students from Deal attended the Deal School District for K-8 and then attend Shore Regional following the termination of its previous agreement with Asbury Park.Shore Regional High School has been an IB World School since April 2007, offering students the IB Diploma Programme. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1969; The school's accreditation status was extended for seven years in Fall 2018.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 609 students and 54.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.3:1. There were 24 students (3.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 7 (1.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. Port-au-peck is an unincorporated community located within Oceanport in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The name Port-Au-Peck comes from the Lenape name Pootapeck. The land was "sold" to English interests in 1670; however, it is unclear how fair this land transfer was or if the local residents were aware they were giving away their hunting and fishing rights in the transfer.

St. John's Episcopal Church is a historic church on Little Silver Point Road in Little Silver, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1876 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Little Silver is a railway station in Little Silver, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It is served by trains on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line. The station is located in between two grade crossings, and trains can back up traffic when they stop at the station.

The Electronics Technology and Devices Laboratory (ETDL) was a research institution located at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey that served as the U.S. Army's central laboratory for electronics research from 1971 to 1992. ETDL was one of the seven Army laboratories that merged to form the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL).

Branchport is an unincorporated community located within Long Branch in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Centered in the northern part of the city, the area contains mostly single-family homes along grid-like streets though some commercial businesses are located on New Jersey Route 36 which through Branchport is called Joline Avenue. The North Jersey Coast Line passes through the community though the closest stops along the line are the Monmouth Park station in Oceanport and the Long Branch station in the center of the city.

Fort Monmouth is a former installation of the Department of the Army in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The post is surrounded by the communities of Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Oceanport, New Jersey, and is located about five miles (8.0 km) from the Atlantic Ocean. The post covers nearly 1,126 acres (4.56 km2) of land, from the Shrewsbury River on the east, to Route 35 on the west; this area is referred to as 'Main Post'. A separate area (Camp Charles Wood) to the west includes post housing, a golf course, and additional office and laboratory facilities. A rail line, owned by Conrail, runs through Camp Charles Wood and out to Naval Weapons Station Earle. The post is like a small town, including a Post Exchange (PX), health clinic, gas station and other amenities. Until the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks the post was open to the public to drive through; after that time, the post was closed to all but authorized personnel. The main road through the fort was reopened to the public in 2017. The post was home to several units of the U.S. Army Materiel Command and offices of the Army Acquisition Executive (AAE) that research and manage Command and Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities and related technology, as well as an interservice organization designed to coordinate C4ISR, an academic preparatory school, an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) unit, a garrison services unit, an Army health clinic, and a Veterans Administration health clinic. Other agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Security Agency, have presences on the post. The post was selected for closure by the Base Realignment and Closure Commission in 2005. Most Army functions and personnel were required to be moved to Army facilities in Maryland—such as Aberdeen Proving Ground—and Ohio by 2011. The post officially closed on September 15, 2011. However, it was temporarily reopened on December 2, 2012, for the evacuation of the borough of Paulsboro's residents to be temporarily resettled until it was deemed safe for them to move back to Paulsboro, following a freight train derailment on November 30, 2012.
