Long Branch Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in the city of Long Branch, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The district is one of 31 former Abbott districts statewide that were established pursuant to the decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court in Abbott v. Burke which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of eight schools, had an enrollment of 5,786 students and 477.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

The Shore Institute of the Contemporary Arts (SICA) was a non-profit arts center in Asbury Park, New Jersey. It was previously located in Long Branch, New Jersey, United States, located in the former Lincon Can Manufacturing building. Founded in 2000, the physical institute was officially opened in 2004. SICA had a gallery, a cafe, artists studios and classrooms. The cafe hosted local bands, film screenings, meetings and performances. SICA offered artists instruction and speakers as well as yoga classes. They also held the yearly ArtX performance event. The Institute has closed as of December 2012.

Port-au-peck is an unincorporated community located within Oceanport in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The name Port-Au-Peck comes from the Lenape name Pootapeck. The land was "sold" to English interests in 1670; however, it is unclear how fair this land transfer was or if the local residents were aware they were giving away their hunting and fishing rights in the transfer.

North Long Branch is an unincorporated community located within Long Branch in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The community is situated in the northern portion of the city and is physically located between Troutmans Creek and Ocean Boulevard. Centered about the intersection of Joline Avenue (New Jersey Route 36) and Long Branch Avenue, most of the area is made up of single-family houses except for some schools, apartment complexes, and the city's sewage treatment plant.

Long Branch is a NJ Transit commuter rail station on the North Jersey Coast Line, located in Long Branch, New Jersey, United States, and serving Long Branch, West Long Branch and Eatontown. The current Long Branch station was built in 1988 when electrification was completed to this point and replaced an older depot. The ticket office and vending machines are located in the glass building on the center of the high platform.

Long Branch is a beachside city in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city's population was 30,719, reflecting a decline of 621 (-2.0%) from the 31,340 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 2,682 (+9.4%) from the 28,658 counted in the 1990 Census. As of the 2010 census, it was the 6th-most-populous municipality in Monmouth County and had the 71st-highest population of any municipality in New Jersey.Long Branch was formed on April 11, 1867, as the Long Branch Commission, from portions of Ocean Township. Long Branch was incorporated as a city by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 8, 1903, based on the results of a referendum, replacing the Long Branch Commission.

Monmouth Park Racetrack is an American race track for thoroughbred horse racing in Oceanport, New Jersey, United States. It is owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and is operated under a five-year lease as a partnership with Darby Development, LLC.Monmouth Park's marquee event is the Haskell Invitational, named after Amory L. Haskell. The Haskell was first run in 1968 as a handicap, but was made into an Invitational Handicap in 1981. It is now a 1⅛-mile test for three-year-olds run in late July. Monmouth Park also now showcases the Jersey Derby originally run at Garden State Park until its closure in 2001. The racetrack's season spans from early May to Labor Day in early September.

Shore Regional High School is a regional public high school and school district serving students from four communities in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The high school serves students from the constituent municipalities of Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Sea Bright and West Long Branch, where the school is located.Students from Interlaken attend public school in the West Long Branch Public Schools for K-8 and Shore Regional High School for grades 9–12, as part of sending/receiving relationships with the districts in which students attend on a tuition basis, having ended a longstanding relationship with the Asbury Park Public Schools, as do students from Loch Arbour, New Jersey, who began attending schools in West Long Branch for K-8 and Shore Regional for 9–12 starting in the 2017–18 school year, after leaving the Ocean Township School District. Students from Deal attended the Deal School District for K-8 and then attend Shore Regional following the termination of its previous agreement with Asbury Park.Shore Regional High School has been an IB World School since April 2007, offering students the IB Diploma Programme. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1969; The school's accreditation status was extended for seven years in Fall 2018.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 609 students and 54.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.3:1. Long Branch High School is a comprehensive, four-year community public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades in the city of Long Branch, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, operating as part of the Long Branch Public Schools. LBPS, one of 31 special-needs Abbott districts in the state, serves the city of Long Branch. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1928.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,459 students and 132.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1. There were 1,004 students (68.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 160 (11.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Monmouth Park is a seasonal NJ Transit commuter rail station on the North Jersey Coast Line, located in Oceanport, New Jersey, and serving the current Monmouth Park Racetrack. The first two locations of Monmouth Park were inside now-closed Fort Monmouth. Both those locations had dedicated rail sidings owned by The Monmouth Park Railroad. Railway service to the current Monmouth Park began in 1946. There were two stations: a diesel-only terminal station, and an electric-compatible station. The diesel-only stop was where the special Pony Express service terminated, until the end of the 2005 racing season. That terminal station was located inside the racetrack's property accessed by a dedicated siding off of the current NJ Transit rail line. That service was discontinued afterwards and so this area is no longer used as a train station (since filled over). During the 2007 Breeders Cup, the area where the single-track station is located served as a hospitality center/entrance. The mainline electrified station is located approximately 1⁄4 mile (0.40 km) from the track's entrance on Port-Au-Peck Avenue. This station is served at least once an hour from approximately 10:30 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on Fridays and race days during the racing season.

Monmouth Medical Center, in Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey, is one of New Jersey's largest community academic medical centers and is an academic affiliate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutgers University. Connected to MMC is the Unterberg Children's Hospital which serves the pediatric population aged 0–21 of Monmouth County. Monmouth Medical Center is also a part of the larger RWJBarnabas Health System.
