As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,009 students and 85.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. There were 314 students (31.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 70 (6.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Almonesson Lake is a large lake in the community, which at one time produced significant amounts of ice each winter. The name Almonesson derives from a Native American name meaning "young fox place".

Deptford Mall is a major shopping mall in Deptford Township, New Jersey. It is the seventh-largest mall in the state of New Jersey. Owned and managed by Macerich, it is the county's only indoor regional shopping center. The mall is anchored by Boscov's, Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Macy's, and Round 1 Entertainment. The mall has over 160 stores. It is located off of Route 42 and Route 55 at County Route 544. The mall has a gross leasable area of 1,040,000 sq ft (97,000 m2), making it the largest mall in the Gloucester County region and placing it in the top eleven among the largest shopping malls in New Jersey.

The Woodbury Country Club (WCC) was a private golf club in Woodbury, New Jersey, United States. It was incorporated in August 1897 and had been one of the 100 oldest private golf clubs in the country as of August 2009. Among some of the club's original officers was George Gill Green, a patent medicine entrepreneur, who served as Vice President. Due to the economy, the golf club was no longer able to sustain operations and went into foreclosure in 2010.

Woodbury Heights is a borough located in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2000 United States Census, the borough's population was 3,055, reflecting an increase of 67 (+2.2%) from the 2,988 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 404 (-11.9%) from the 3,392 counted in the 1990 Census.Woodbury Heights was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1915, from portions of Deptford Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 27, 1915. Portions were exchanged with Woodbury in 1925, and portions of the city were annexed on March 22, 1938. Portions were exchanged with Deptford Township in 1956 and other portions were annexed from the township in 1965. The borough was named for the city of Woodbury, which in turn was named for its founder Henry Wood, who settled in the area in 1683 after arriving from Bury, England, at the age of 80 to escape religious persecution.The borough had the 19th-highest property tax rate in New Jersey, with an equalized rate of 4.442% in 2020, compared to 3.212% in the county as a whole and a statewide average of 2.279%.

KotoriCon was an annual two-day anime convention held during January at Rowan College at Gloucester County (formerly known as Gloucester County College) in Sewell, New Jersey. It was sponsored by the college's Japanese Anime Guild and KotoriCon's name came from the Japanese for little bird, inspired by the colleges roadrunner mascot. The convention was designed to be family-friendly. The convention ran its final event in 2020.
