Lawnside, New Jersey

Peter Mott House is an historic home that is the oldest standing residence in Lawnside, New Jersey. It was the home of Peter and Eliza Mott, a freed Black farmer, carpenter, pastor, and a "stationmaster" on the Underground Railroad. It is located in close proximity to Interstate 295, the New Jersey Turnpike, and the White Horse Pike.

As of the 2010 Census it was the smallest municipality by population in New Jersey, with seven fewer residents than nearby Pine Valley, which had 12.Tavistock was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 16, 1921, from portions of the now-defunct Centre Township. The name of the borough came from the estate in England of a family of early settlers.The borough was formed in order to allow the members of Tavistock Country Club to play golf on Sundays by members of the Victor Talking Machine Company. This was prohibited at the Haddon Country Club which was governed by a local blue law prohibiting sporting activities on Sundays. Tavistock's secession from Haddonfield, New Jersey, the original site of the club, is said to have been driven by the fact that Haddonfield was (and remains) a dry borough, though Tavistock was formed in 1921 during Prohibition when liquor would have been banned. Members of the club included State Senator Joseph Wallworth and Assembly Speaker T. Harry Rowland, who helped push the bill that created the new municipality to unanimous approval in the New Jersey Legislature.

Tavistock Country Club is a private 18-hole golf club located in Tavistock, New Jersey. On December 14, 1920, the club was formally incorporated, and the course was ready for play on June 22, 1921. The course is nestled between Warwick Road and Interstate 295 in Camden County, New Jersey.The club is where the modern day snowboard was created by Tom Sims.Tavistock is part of the smallest municipality in New Jersey by population. The Borough of Tavistock was established in 1921 as the club's original municipality, Haddonfield, did not allow for games to be played on Sunday.The current (2019) club champion at Tavistock is Jamie Slonis and Mary McGuinness.

Barrington is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 6,983, reflecting a decline of 101 (-1.4%) from the 7,084 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 310 (+4.6%) from the 6,774 counted in the 1990 Census.The area became known as "Barrington" in the 1880s, when William Simpson, one of the partners that developed the area, chose the name from his home in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.Barrington was incorporated as a borough on March 27, 1917, from portions of the now-defunct Centre Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 17, 1917. Brookfield Schools are a group of private, co-educational special schools in New Jersey, United States. It was established in 1976 and provides educational and therapeutic services for K–12 students on three sites; 9–12 Brookfield Academy in Cherry Hill, K–8 Brookfield Elementary in Haddon Heights, and a college transition program via Camden County College campus in Blackwood. The schools use Common Core curriculum standards and testing, sports activities to build teamwork and social skills, and a collaboration with a local animal shelter to "sharpen reading skills" and socialize puppies for adoption. It is listed among New Jersey's "Approved Private Schools for Students with Disabilities." According to the Camden City Board of Education, "Brookfield Schools is a nationally recognized and highly qualified organization in providing home educational services to students in need of such services."

Somerdale is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 5,151, reflecting a decline of 41 (-0.8%) from the 5,192 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 248 (-4.6%) from the 5,440 counted in the 1990 Census.The Borough of Somerdale was created on April 23, 1929, from portions of Clementon Township, one of seven municipalities created from the now-defunct township, and one of five new municipalities (including Hi-Nella Borough, Lindenwold Borough, Pine Hill Borough and Pine Valley Borough) created on that same date.
