General Pierce Bridge

Deerfield River is a river that runs for 76 miles (122 km) from southern Vermont through northwestern Massachusetts to the Connecticut River. The Deerfield River was historically influential in the settlement of western Franklin County, Massachusetts, and its namesake town. It is the Connecticut River's second-longest tributary in Massachusetts, 2.1 miles (3.4 km) shorter than Metropolitan Springfield's Westfield River. The river's confluence with the Connecticut is in Greenfield, Massachusetts, downstream of Turners Falls (42.57708°N 72.57784°W / 42.57708; -72.57784). The Deerfield is one of the most heavily dammed rivers in the country with, on average, a dam almost every 7 miles (11 km) for its entire length. In Shelburne Falls, the glacial potholes and the Bridge of Flowers are popular tourist attractions around the river.

The Canalside Rail Trail Bridge (also known as the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad (Turners Falls Branch) Bridge) is a former New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad (Turner Falls Branch) rail bridge across the Connecticut River between Deerfield and Montague, Massachusetts. The bridge (Massachusetts numbers: D06033/M28019) is on the Massachusetts Historic Bridge Inventory as a "Historic Metal Truss Bridge", currently the sixth oldest metal truss bridge on the state-wide historic registry. The Canalside Rail Trail, completed in Spring 2008, incorporates this bridge.

Franklin County is a nongovernmental county located in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Massachusetts. As of the 2020 census, the population was 71,029, which makes it the least-populous county on the Massachusetts mainland, and the third-least populous county in the state. Its traditional county seat and most populous city is Greenfield. Its largest town by area is New Salem. Franklin County comprises the Greenfield Town, MA Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Springfield-Greenfield Town, MA Combined Statistical Area.

Poet's Seat Tower is a 1912 sandstone observation tower, located in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It was so named to honor a long tradition of poets being drawn to the spot, in particular, the local poet Frederick Goddard Tuckerman. By 1850, the location was referred to as "Poet's Seat" by Tuckerman in a surviving herbarium entry for November 10 of that year.An earlier wooden tower was erected at the site on June 3, 1879. This first structure was built, along with a public drinking fountain and a road accessing the site, under the auspices of The Greenfield Rural Club.

The Weldon Hotel is a historic former hotel at 54 High Street in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Built in 1905 and enlarged several times, it was one of the first poured concrete buildings in the United States, and was one of Greenfield's grandest hotels of the early 20th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The East Main–High Street Historic District is a historic district roughly bounded by Church, High, East Main and Franklin Streets in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It encompasses a predominantly residential area just east of Greenfield's central business district, historically where the town's wealthier residents lived, and features a wide variety of mainly 19th-century residential architecture. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The US Post Office-Greenfield Main is a historic post office at 442 Main Street in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Built in 1915 and enlarged in 1939, it is a good example of a post office with Beaux Arts and Classical Revival features. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, and included in the Main Street Historic District in 1988.

The Leavitt–Hovey House is an historic house located at 402 Main Street in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Built in 1797, it is a prominent work of local architect Asher Benjamin, and a good local example of Federal period architecture. From 1909 to June 17, 2023, it served as the home of the Greenfield Public Library. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and was included in the Main Street Historic District in 1988.

Greenfield is the only city in and the seat of Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. Greenfield was first settled in 1686. The population was 17,768 at the 2020 census. Greenfield is home to Greenfield Community College, the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra, and the Franklin County Fair. The city has a Main Street Historic District containing fine examples of Federal, Greek Revival, and Victorian architecture. Greenfield is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The John W. Olver Transit Center, also called the JWO Transit Center, is an intermodal transit hub for Franklin County, Massachusetts. Located in Greenfield, it currently serves Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) local bus routes plus intercity bus service. Amtrak's Greenfield station is also located here, with one daily Vermonter round trip and two daily Valley Flyer round trips, which are extensions of Amtrak-run Hartford Line trains. Named after long-time western Massachusetts congressman John Olver, the hub is the first zero net energy transit center in the United States. Built with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, the facility was constructed with solar panels, geothermal wells, copper heat screens and other energy efficient technologies. It houses the FRTA offices and the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, the successor organization to the Franklin County county government.

Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish was a parish of the Roman Catholic Church designated for Polish immigrants in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Founded 1914, it was one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Diocese of Springfield in Massachusetts. The diocese closed the parish in 2009.

The Garden Theater Block is a historic commercial block and theater at 353-367 Main Street in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The Colonial Revival block was completed in 1929, and is home to the city's largest theatrical performance venue. The theater is a unique example of an "atmospheric" garden theater, with artwork and mechanical systems designed to give its interior an outside appearance. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and included in the Main Street Historic District in 1988. The theater is now known as the Greenfield Garden Cinemas.
