Loudon, New Hampshire

Loudon is a census-designated place (CDP) and the main village in the town of Loudon in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States. The population of the CDP was 711 at the 2020 census, out of 5,576 in the entire town.

WJYY (105.5 FM, "105.5 JYY") is a radio station broadcasting a Rhythmic hot adult contemporary format. Licensed to Concord, New Hampshire, United States, the station serves the Concord and Manchester areas. The station is owned by Binnie Media and licensed to WBIN Media Co., Inc.

Leavitt Farm is a historic farmstead at 103 Old Loudon Road in eastern Concord, New Hampshire. It consists of three 19th century farm buildings, including the c. 1847 Greek Revival farmhouse, a large c. 1888 shop and barn, and a 19th-century privy which has been converted into a well pumphouse. These buildings were built by Jonathan Leavitt, a farmer and blacksmith, and were later owned by his son Almah, a sign painter. In the 1980s the property was used by the Concord Coach Society (now the Abbot-Downing Historical Society) as a headquarters and museum facility. The shop building in particular is notable for its adaptive reuse (as blacksmithy, paint shop, and museum), and for its second floor ballroom space, an unusual location for that type of social space. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Miles Smith Farm is a family-owned grass-fed beef farm located on Whitehouse Road (New Hampshire Route 106) in Loudon, New Hampshire, United States. Currently a working family farm with stonewalls built by the original owner, Miles Smith, its 26 acres (11 ha) have a panoramic view of the Merrimack Valley to the southwest. Miles Smith Farm and neighboring grazing fields supports a herd of Scottish Highland and Angus that are chosen because they are a hardy breed and do well in rugged nature of central New Hampshire. The farm also serves as an educational resource to local schools and clubs by practicing rural land use that is environmentally, economically and culturally sustainable.

Loudon Town Hall is a historic New England meetinghouse at 433 Clough Hill Road in Loudon, New Hampshire. Built in 1779 and extensively restyled in 1847, this Greek Revival structure was used for many years for both religious and civic purposes; it now serves principally as a church, housing a Free Will Baptist congregation. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990; it is one of the oldest civic buildings in Merrimack County.

Steeplegate Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Concord, New Hampshire, United States. Opened in 1990, it has struggled with high vacancy rates throughout its existence. Its largest retailer is JCPenney, the only traditional store left alongside Talbots and Chico's. It also features a live theater that opened in 2016, a trampoline park that opened in 2018, a health club that opened in 2019, and a pickleball club that opened in 2022.The mall opened with four large retail anchor stores, a food court with a 630-square-foot (59 m2) mosaic, and room for about 62 storefronts, depending on layout. Following the interior's closure on April 22, 2022, after the mall's owners evicted the few remaining interior businesses, only six businesses with exterior entrances plus the later-opened pickleball club are open. As of 2023, new owners are proposing to tear most of it down and build a large mixed-use development with apartments and some retail.

Canterbury Shaker Village is a historic site and museum in Canterbury, New Hampshire, United States. It was one of a number of Shaker communities founded in the 19th century. It is one of the most intact and authentic surviving Shaker community sites, and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1993.The site is operated by a non-profit organization established in 1969 to preserve the heritage of the Canterbury Shakers. Canterbury Shaker Village is an internationally known, non-profit museum and historic site with 25 original Shaker buildings, four reconstructed Shaker buildings and 694 acres (2.81 km2) of forests, fields, gardens and mill ponds under permanent conservation easement. Canterbury Shaker Village "is dedicated to preserving the 200-year legacy of the Canterbury Shakers and to providing a place for learning, reflection and renewal of the human spirit."Visitors learn about the life, ideals, values and legacy of the Canterbury Shakers through tours, programs, exhibits, research and publications. Village staff, largely volunteer, conduct tours, and its restaurant serves traditional Shaker lunches and dinners spring, summer and fall.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a 1.058 mi (1.703 km) oval speedway located in Loudon, New Hampshire, which has hosted NASCAR racing annually since 1990, as well as the longest-running motorcycle race in North America, the Loudon Classic. Nicknamed "The Magic Mile", the speedway is often converted into a 1.600 mi (2.575 km) road course, which includes much of the oval. The track was originally the site of Bryar Motorsports Park before being purchased and redeveloped by Bob Bahre. The track is currently one of eight major NASCAR tracks owned and operated by Speedway Motorsports.

Built in 1836, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in December 2005, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in July 2005.

It is part of the Community College System of New Hampshire and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The college, which opened in 1965, was known as New Hampshire Technical Institute until 2007, when its current name was adopted to reflect its growth as a community college with broad offerings in both technical and general education.

It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.The airport is publicly owned by the City of Concord. There was once scheduled airline service at the airport on Northeast Airlines; nearby Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, 20 miles (32 km) south of Concord Airport (accessible by a 25-mile drive down the F.E. Everett Turnpike), has largely succeeded Concord for most commercial and even some general aviation flights.
