Bow, New Hampshire

Bow High School is a four-year public high school in Bow, New Hampshire, United States, and is part of the Bow School District. The principal is Brian O'Connell and the vice principal is Matt Fisk.As of the 2021-2022 school year, the school had an enrollment of 621 students and 49.40 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 12.57.

The Turkey River is a 6.1-mile-long (9.8 km) stream located in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Merrimack River, which flows to the Gulf of Maine. The source of the Turkey River is the outlet of Little Turkey Pond in Concord, New Hampshire. The river travels southeast through the campus of St. Paul's School, winding through the outskirts of Concord, and entering Bow before joining the Merrimack near the junction of Interstate 93 and Interstate 89. In May 2006 record amounts of rainfall over two days caused the Turkey River to flood the campus of St. Paul's School, forcing the school year to be ended prematurely.

The Donald D. Tuttle House is a historic house at 12 Gabby Lane in Concord, New Hampshire. Built in 1933, it is a well-preserved example of a modest Cape-style house with Colonial Revival features. It is historically significant for its association with Donald D. Tuttle, who pioneered the promotion of alpine skiing in the state. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The house was moved from its original location on Pleasant Street in 2009, in order make way for a road project.

Shea Farm Halfway House is a state prison for women in New Hampshire, United States. Located in Concord, New Hampshire, Shea Farm is a minimum security facility which opened in 1973. It is a transitional facility used to house adult prisoners preparing for release. It can accommodate up to 40 inmates, who are usually 6 months from parole eligibility.

Upton-Morgan State Forest is a 21-acre (8.5 ha) state forest in Concord, New Hampshire. It has a short interpretive trail. It is located in the southwest part of Concord off Silk Farm Road and is bordered to the northwest by New Hampshire Route 13 (Clinton Street) and to the northeast by Interstate 89. Skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus) grows in the area.In 1835, several Concord entrepreneurs bought the property, the Ballard Haselton farm, in order to raise silk worms, and planted mulberry trees on the land. The silk farm failed after a few years, though the name is preserved in the road that runs past the entrance to the forest. The land was later bought by David Morgan and Mark Upton, who transferred it to the State of New Hampshire in 1917 for the use of the State Asylum. The land was transferred to the New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands in 1972.

Turkey Pond and Little Turkey Pond are a connected pair of water bodies located in Merrimack County in central New Hampshire, United States, in the city of Concord. The two ponds' elevations are controlled by a single dam at the outlet of Little Turkey Pond. The combined surface area of the two ponds is 332 acres (1.34 km2). The channel between the two ponds serves as the water course for the crew team for Saint Paul's School of Concord. Water from the Turkey Ponds flows via the Turkey River to the Merrimack River. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, and horned pout.Following the 1938 New England hurricane, Turkey Pond was used to hold salvaged logs, which were then processed at an on-site sawmill; it was staffed by women during World War II.

White Farm is a historic farm property on Clinton Street (New Hampshire Route 13) in Concord, New Hampshire. Located about two miles (3.2 km) west of downtown Concord, the farm is now owned by the state, but includes a number of historically significant buildings, and is one of the largest open space areas in the city near its downtown. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

The Soucook River is a 29.2-mile-long (47.0 km) river located in central New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Merrimack River, which flows to the Gulf of Maine. The Soucook River begins at the outlet of Rocky Pond on the border between the towns of Canterbury and Loudon, New Hampshire. The river flows south through gently rolling terrain, soon entering Loudon and passing near the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The river passes through the village proper of Loudon, crossing a small dam, and continues south along a more suburban corridor on the outskirts of Concord. The river forms the boundary between Concord and Pembroke and ends at the Merrimack River downstream from Garvins Falls. There are extensive sand and gravel deposits filling the Soucook River valley, which has led to the creation of several large excavation operations close to the river. New Hampshire Route 106 parallels the river throughout its course, crossing the river four times.

Warren H. Doane Diamond at Memorial Field is a stadium located in Concord, New Hampshire. The field is named after former Concord High School and amateur baseball coach, Warren Doane. It has a capacity of about 2,000 fans, and as of 2018 is the home of the New Hampshire Wild minor league baseball team.

The Pleasant View Home is an historic senior citizen residential facility located at 227 Pleasant Street in Concord, New Hampshire, in the United States. On September 19, 1984, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.From 1892 to 1908, Mary Baker Eddy, an American religious leader, lived in a house at this location which was also called Pleasant View; but her home was torn down in 1917. There has sometimes been some confusion between the two buildings over the years since both were known as "Pleasant View".

The Concord Gas Light Company Gasholder House is a historic gasholder house at Gas Street in Concord, New Hampshire. Built in 1888, it is believed to be the only such structure in the United States in which the enclosed gas containment unit is essentially intact. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. Since 2012, it has been owned by Liberty Utilities, a gas, water and electric company. In 2022, Liberty struck a deal with the city of Concord and the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance to begin emergency stabilization work on the building, so that planning for protection and future use can continue.

The New Hampshire State Hospital was originally constructed in 1842 in Concord, New Hampshire, as the seventeenth such mental institution in the country to cater to the state's mentally ill population.
