Southaven, Mississippi

Mississippi has an inglorious history with ice hockey in the United States. Though a few teams have attempted to call the state home since the 1990s, few have met with any success.

Southaven Towne Center is an open-air regional lifestyle center located in Southaven, Mississippi. The shopping center is owned and managed by CBL & Associates, who developed the property and opened it in October 2005. It was reported that upon opening, the Southaven Towne Center was expected to contribute 1000 jobs to the local economy. This facility marks a first for CBL & Associates, it is their first foray into the lifestyle center property type. Southaven Towne Center brought department stores to Southaven for the first time.

Delta Technical College (Delta Tech) is a private for-profit career college in Horn Lake, Mississippi. It was founded in 2004 and is a branch school of Midwest Technical Institute based in Springfield, Illinois. Delta Technical College has campuses in Horn Lake and Ridgeland. The college is regulated and licensed to operate by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration and License #C-624.

Southaven High School is a public secondary school located in Southaven, Mississippi, United States. It began in the fall of 1971, when construction was completed enough so that students could start the first classes. The original school taught 6th through 12th.

Tanger Outlets Southaven is an outlet mall in Southaven, Mississippi, just outside Memphis, Tennessee. The mall, located at the intersection of I-55/I-69 and Church Road, began construction in January 2015 and opened in November 2015. Tanger Outlets Southaven is the first outlet mall in the Memphis metro area.

The Landers Center is an 8,400-seat multi-purpose arena in Southaven, Mississippi. It is home to the Memphis Hustle of the NBA G League, a minor league basketball team affiliated with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Northpoint Christian School (NCS) is a private Christian school located in Southaven, Mississippi, that has been described as a white flight school. The school was founded in 1973 by a group of ten White Southern Baptist churches in the Whitehaven section of Memphis, Tennessee, at a time when public schools were integrating Black and White students. Programs for kindergarten through Grade 8 began in 1973, and grades 9-12 were added the following year. As of 2014, the school was the third-largest private school in Greater Memphis.

DeSoto Central High School is a public high school in Southaven, Mississippi, United States. It is a part of the DeSoto County School District and serves students from Southaven, Olive Branch, and Nesbit.

BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove, formerly Snowden Grove Amphitheater, is a concert venue located at Snowden Grove Park in Southaven, Mississippi, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. Opened in 2006, the amphitheater features 9,800 fixed seats, with a lawn area able to accommodate 850 additional spectators.

Horn Lake is a city in DeSoto County, Mississippi, United States. It is located 1.2 mi (1.9 km) south of Memphis, Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,736, making it the 13th most populous city in Mississippi. In the 2010 census, the population was 26,066, up from 14,099 in 2000.

Snowden Grove Park is a mixed-use park located in Southaven, Mississippi, a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee. Opened in 1999, the 200 acres (81 ha) park was built on land donated by the Snowden family.
