Valley High School (VHS) is a public school located in Las Vegas, Nevada that also offers three widely recognized magnet programs: the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and Middle Years Programme, the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT), and the MSTEM Program that was introduced in 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A, which is a part of the Clark County School District.

Paradise Palms is a Mid-century modern housing community in Las Vegas, Nevada located between downtown and the city's University District. It was designated as a historic overlay district in 2021, the first such recognition in Clark County. The planned community, Las Vegas' first, was the brain child of Irwin Molasky in 1960 who hired the architectural firm of Palmer & Krisel to build a community within walking distance to his Boulevard Mall and when completed drew entertainers, mobsters and other members of the city's social scene. A house originally owned by Fred Glusman subsequently featured stays by Cher, Don Rickles, Diana Ross and other Vegas entertainers. The original homes off Cayuga Parkway debuted in 1960 and were developed by Molasky and Adelson's Paradise Homes. In 1963, other builders were added to the community, including California-based Americana Homes, Tropical Estates by Vallee Development, Stellar Greens by D.L Bradley, Miranti Homes and Fontainebleau Estates by Eastern Enterprises. The inspiration for Paradise Palms was Palm Springs, California, which exhibited a similar post-World War II population boom.The land on which the houses were built was originally part of the Stardust Golf Course, now known as Las Vegas National.The neighborhood and construction thereof were featured in a 2011 exhibit, A Place in Paradise...the Quintessential Las Vegas Neighborhood.

The 1964 LPGA Championship was the tenth LPGA Championship, held October 1–4 at Stardust Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mary Mills shot a final round 69 (−2) to win the first of her two LPGA Championships, two strokes ahead runner-up Mickey Wright, the defending champion and 54-hole leader. The total of 278 set a record for the championship which stood until 1978; it was the second of three career majors for Mills.It was the fourth of six consecutive LPGA Championships at Stardust, which opened three years earlier. After several ownership and name changes, it became Las Vegas National Golf Club in 1998.

The 1966 LPGA Championship was the twelfth LPGA Championship, held September 22–25 at Stardust Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gloria Ehret won her only major title, three strokes ahead of runner-up Mickey Wright, a four-time winner of the championship. Defending champion Sandra Haynie finished nine strokes back in seventh place.It was the last of six consecutive LPGA Championships at Stardust, which opened five years earlier. After several ownership and name changes, it became Las Vegas National Golf Club in 1998.

The 1961 LPGA Championship was the seventh LPGA Championship, held October 12–15 at Stardust Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. Defending champion Mickey Wright won the third of her four LPGA Championships, nine strokes ahead of runner-up Louise Suggs, the 1957 winner. It was Wright's third major title of the year and the seventh of her thirteen career majors. It was her tenth tour victory of the 1961 season.Stardust Country Club opened earlier in the year and hosted the LPGA Championship for six consecutive years, through 1966. After several ownership and name changes, it became Las Vegas National Golf Club in 1998.The purse was substantially increased in 1961 to $15,000 with a winner's share of $2,500, up from $8,500 and $1,500 in 1960.

The 1963 LPGA Championship was the ninth LPGA Championship, held October 10–13 at Stardust Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. After a second round 82 (+11), Mickey Wright shot 70 (−1) in both of the final two rounds to win her fourth and final LPGA Championship, two strokes ahead of runners-up Mary Lena Faulk, Mary Mills, and Louise Suggs. Defending champion Judy Kimball finished six strokes back, in a tie for ninth place. It was Wright's second major title of the year and the eleventh of her thirteen career majors. It was her thirteenth tour victory of the 1963 season.It was the third of six consecutive LPGA Championships at Stardust, which opened two years earlier. Judy Kimball, age 24, shot a final round 72 (+1) to win her only major title, four strokes ahead of runner-up Shirley Spork. The winner's share was $2,300 and second place earned $1,850. Kimball's 282 set a new record for the championship, three strokes ahead of Louise Suggs' 285 in 1957. Two-time defending champion Mickey Wright fell short in search of her third consecutive LPGA Championship; she finished thirteen strokes back in eighth place, but won her fourth LPGA Championship the following year. It was the second of six consecutive LPGA Championships at Stardust, which opened the previous year. After several ownership and name changes, it became Las Vegas National Golf Club in 1998.

Sandra Haynie, age 22, won the first of her two LPGA Championship titles, one stroke ahead of runner-up Clifford Ann Creed. In her fifth season on tour, it was the seventh win for Haynie and the first of her four career major victories. Defending champion Mary Mills was twelve strokes back, in a tie for seventh.It was the fifth of six consecutive LPGA Championships at Stardust, which opened four years earlier. After several ownership and name changes, it became Las Vegas National Golf Club in 1998.

Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center is a for-profit hospital owned by the Hospital Corporation of America and operated by Sunrise Healthcare System. It is located in the Las Vegas Valley in Winchester, Nevada.

The Boulevard Mall is located at 3528 S Maryland Pkwy, in Paradise, Nevada, United States (an unincorporated town in the Las Vegas Valley). Located on 75 acres (30 ha), it is a single-story super-regional mall with 1,180,000 sq ft (110,000 m2) of lease-able retail space. It has 140 stores; anchor stores include Goodwill and 99 Ranch Market. It is the oldest shopping mall in the Las Vegas Valley. Initially announced as the Parkway Mall in September 1963, it opened as The Boulevard Mall on March 6, 1968, as the state's first enclosed, climate-controlled shopping mall. It contained 26 stores and four department stores upon opening. It became one of the top shopping spots in the Las Vegas Valley, and was popular among tourists because of its close proximity to the Las Vegas Strip. Customer attendance decreased after the opening of the nearby Fashion Show Mall in 1981. The Boulevard Mall was renovated in 1984. An expansion and further renovations began in 1990 and were completed in 1992, at a cost of $60 million. It was the largest mall in southern Nevada until 2003. Beginning in 2008, the mall was affected by a decrease in customer attendance due to the Great Recession. By early 2012, it experienced increased customer visitations after introducing several Hispanic community organizations as tenants, in response to the growing nearby Hispanic community. Sansone Companies purchased the mall in November 2013, at a cost of $54.5 million, and then launched a $25 million overhaul which included several unique tenants not usually associated with malls. Macy's and JCPenney closed in 2017, followed by Sears in 2019.

The Castaways Hotel and Casino, formerly the Showboat Hotel and Casino, was a hotel and casino located at the north end of the Boulder Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The hotel consisted of a 19 story tower containing 445 rooms, a casino and an adjacent RV park. The Castaways hotel was demolished on January 11, 2006 to make way for a new resort. However, construction never started on the project, and the property became the site of the Showboat Park Apartments in 2021.

The Green Shack was a restaurant located on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada that is listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places. It was opened by Mattie Jones and was famous for its fried chicken.
