Hall County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 62,895, making it Nebraska's fourth-most populous county. Its county seat is Grand Island. The county was formed in 1858; it was named for Augustus Hall, an early judge of this territory.Hall County is part of the Grand Island, NE Metropolitan Statistical Area. In the Nebraska license plate system, Hall County is represented by the prefix 8. Hall County had the eighth-largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922.

The Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant was built by the US army beginning in 1942 to produce munitions during World War II. The plant produced munitions during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It is located 6 miles (10 km) west of Grand Island, Nebraska. It is currently an EPA Superfund site because of groundwater contamination by explosives and soil contamination by explosives and heavy metals. The plant occupies 12,042 acres (4,873 ha).

The Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer is a museum located in Grand Island, Nebraska dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Pioneers who settled the plains of central Nebraska in the late 19th century. It features a living history village called Railroad Town, designed to evoke an 1890s-era prairie village and made up of many original period structures moved to the museum.The museum is named after Leo Stuhr, a local farmer and politician whose family were among the area's pioneer settlers. He donated land, money, and numerous artifacts that served as the foundation of the museum. The building that houses the bulk of the museum's exhibits, the Stuhr Building, was designed by architect Edward Durell Stone and was built by Geer-Melkus Construction Co., Inc. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015 after undergoing a $7.4 million restoration.Among the structures in Railroad Town is the house where actor Henry Fonda was born in 1905. Movies filmed at the museum include Sarah, Plain and Tall (1991) and My Antonia (1995). The museum once had a working steam locomotive that traveled the 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge Nebraska Midland Railroad on the museum grounds.

The Nine Bridges Bridge near Doniphan, Nebraska was built in 1913. It was built by the Standard Bridge Co. using Jones & Laughlin Steel Co.-rolled components. It brought Nine Bridges Road across the Middle Channel of the Platte River and now carries a private road.It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Heinrich Giese House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1863 as a log cabin by Heinrich Giese, an immigrant from Holstein, Germany. Giese lived here with his wife, née Mary Obermiller, and their seven children. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 26, 2006.

Northwest High School is a secondary school in Grand Island, Nebraska, United States, and is part of the Northwest Public Schools district. It was founded in 1963. It is accredited by AdvancED. The school serves students in grades nine through twelve. Enrollment at the high school was 719 as of December 2016.Northwest High School colors are black and gold. The mascot is a Viking, and pupils are referred to as Northwest Vikings.Northwest High School is a member of the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA). They compete in District IV and Central West conference.

The Stolley Homestead Site is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1858-1859 as a log cabin by William Stolley, an immigrant from Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The property was acquired by the state of Nebraska in 1927. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 16, 1972.
