William Resor House

The Calvary Episcopal Church is located at 3766 Clifton Avenue, in the Clifton. It is part of the Clifton Avenue Historic District. Its Sunday School is a historic building listed in the National Register on March 3, 1980. Calvary Episcopal Church began in a small, frame schoolhouse on the eastern side of Clifton Avenue. The first services were held in 1844. Four years later, a frame church was built at the northwest corner of Clifton and Lafayette Avenue and was named "The Clifton Chapel". The "Calvery" church was incorporated in 1863 according to the statutes of the State of Ohio. Construction began in 1866 and was completed in 1867, the first building committee chairman was Henry Probasco. Construction cost was approximately $88,300. The gothic revival style of the church was complementary to the mansions of the neighborhood. The tower and bell were donated by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Probasco in memory of their brother, Tyler Davidson. Other church memorials still utter the names of the Shoenbergers, the Probascos, the Resors, the Neaves and the Bowlers. It is one of multiple places associated with architect Samuel Hannaford that were listed on the National Register as part of a 1978 Thematic Resource study.

The Balch House is a historic house in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Located along Greendale Avenue in that city's Clifton neighborhood, it is a two-and-a-half-story building constructed primarily in the Queen Anne style of architecture.: 5 In 1892, Cincinnati, Hamilton, and Dayton Railroad executive George Balch moved to Clifton. Four years later, deciding to construct a house for himself, he chose renowned Cincinnati architect Samuel Hannaford. Balch was one of many Clifton residents to commission designs from Hannaford: having built a reputation as one of Cincinnati's premier Gilded Age architects, Hannaford had designed large numbers of houses for the residents of upscale neighborhoods such as Clifton.: 10  The Balch House was one of Hannaford's last residences in the area, for he retired in 1897.: 11 Built of brick and stucco on a stone foundation, the Balch House is covered by a slate roof. Among its distinctive architectural features is the large gable on the front, which rises above a large frame porch that rests on brick pedestals. Individuals can enter the house through an ornate entrance located under a decorated smaller gable, while a large gable similar to that of the front crowns the house's western side. The overall floor plan of the house is the shape of an "L."In 1980, the Balch House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of its well-preserved historic architecture. Dozens of other Cincinnati buildings were added to the Register at the same time as part of a multiple property submission of buildings designed by Hannaford.: 3 

The Probasco Fountain is a large fountain in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Built of bronze on a base of granite,: 8  the fountain was constructed in 1887 according to a design by Samuel Hannaford.The fountain is named for its donor, Henry Probasco, a Cincinnati resident who also gave the city the Tyler Davidson Fountain. Built as a drinking fountain for the residents of the surrounding neighborhood of Clifton, it is composed of four separate drinking basins: one each for humans, horses, dogs, and birds. Measuring 10 feet (3.0 m) high, the fountain is composed of a central column that is crowned with a piece shaped like the cap of a mushroom.Located along Clifton Avenue near that street's intersection with Woolper Avenue, the Probasco Fountain is a contributing property to the Clifton Avenue Historic District,: 8  which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1980, the fountain itself was added to the Register, along with dozens of other buildings designed by Samuel Hannaford in Cincinnati and other parts of Hamilton County.: 3

Clifton is a neighborhood in the north central part of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,304 at the 2010 census.The area includes the Ludlow Avenue Shopping and Dining District. Clifton is situated around Clifton Avenue, north of Dixmyth Avenue, approximately three miles north of Downtown Cincinnati. Several historic buildings and homes remain in the neighborhood. Clifton was developed in large part due to the expansion of the street car system in the 1880s-1890s. Adjacent areas such as Corrryville and the CUF neighborhoods are often erroneously referred to as Clifton, even by long-term residents.

The Sir Alfred T. Goshorn House is a historic residence in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Designed by a leading Cincinnati architect for an internationally prominent businessman, the stone house was named a historic site in the 1970s.

The Church of the Annunciation is located at 3547 Clifton Avenue at Resor Street in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The Church is located in the Clifton neighborhood. It is part of the Clifton Avenue Historic District. This historic parish was founded in February 1910, and the present building was completed in August 1930. This church was designed by Boston architect Edward T. P. Graham, who was active in both the Archdiocese of Boston and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in the first half of the 20th century.

John Uri Lloyd House is a registered historic building in Cincinnati, Ohio, listed in the National Register on March 7, 1973. Lloyd was an American pharmacist who was a leader in the eclectic medicine movement and influential in the development of pharmacognosy, ethnobotany, economic botany, and herbalism. In 1886, he and his two brothers, also chemists, established a pharmacology business together, named Lloyd Brothers, Pharmacists, Inc. It operated until after the senior Lloyd's death, when it was bought in 1938 by S.B. Penick. From their earnings, in 1919 the brothers established a trust fund for the Lloyd Library and Museum, originally based on John Lloyd's personal collection related to medical botany, eclectic medicine and pharmacy. It is also located in Cincinnati.

Cedric G. Boulter and Patricia Neils House is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed registered historic home in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. It was commissioned in 1953, with construction beginning in 1954, and completed in 1956. Additions to the design were completed in 1958. In 1949, Patricia's parents commissioned the Frieda and Henry J. Neils House in Minnesota and Wright promised to design a home for her when she married.The building was listed in the National Register on May 14, 1999.

The Moses Goldsmith Building is a historic residence in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Built in 1900, it was originally owned by Moses Goldsmith, the president of a firm that sold notions; rather than living in the house, Goldsmith built it for investment purposes, renting it to others.A brick house with elements of sandstone and limestone, the Goldsmith Building has been ranked as a fine example of Renaissance Revival architecture. Distinctive elements of its design include prominent string courses and molding courses, plus a large loggia.The Goldsmith Building was erected in the Clifton neighborhood at a time when that neighborhood was expanding greatly. Large numbers of prosperous members of Cincinnati society built grand homes in the neighborhood, making it a highly distinctive portion of the city. The house did not long stay in the Goldsmith family; Moses died within a few years of its construction, and his heirs sold the property in 1912. After Goldsmith's time, it was converted from a single-family residence to a multi-family residence. In 1982, the Goldsmith Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, due to its historically significant architecture; key to this designation was its loggia, which is almost unknown in Cincinnati.
