Drake Planetarium & Science Center is a 70-seat planetarium and science center located within Norwood High School in Norwood, Ohio, a city surrounded by Cincinnati. Drake Science Center is located on the first floor of Norwood Middle School. The facility is named after Dr. Frank Drake, in honor of his research on extra-terrestrial life. The planetarium includes a 35-foot domed theater, featuring an analog Spitz system custom built in Germany, a high-definition full-dome projection system, and high efficiency LED flood lighting. The optical star projector and an immersive projection system produce a vibrant night sky and immersive full dome technology 180 degrees overhead. Programs are available for audiences ranging from preschool age to senior citizens, and for two months of the year, the Drake Planetarium also houses a laser projection system used for special programming.Drake Planetarium & Science Center has been operated by Tri-State Education & Technology Foundation since 1982. This foundation is a nonprofit educational organization with the mission to provide STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning experiences for the youth of Greater Cincinnati.

Norwood is the second most populous city in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States, and an enclave of the larger city of Cincinnati. The population was 19,207 at the 2010 census. Originally settled as an early suburb of Cincinnati in the wooded countryside north of the city, the area is characterized by older homes and tree-lined streets.

Norwood High School is a high school in Norwood, Ohio which has been rated Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education. It is the only high school in the Norwood City School District. The Drake Planetarium, located in the high school, is named after astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake and is linked to NASA. Norwood High School owns the 1936 state title for baseball. The interior of old Norwood High School, now Norwood Junior High School, was used to film several scenes appearing in the 1989 film An Innocent Man, starring Tom Selleck.

Norwood Mound, also known as “Indian Mound” by locals, is a prehistoric Native American earthwork mound located in Norwood, Ohio, United States, an enclave city of Cincinnati in Hamilton County, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1974.

Bond Hill is a neighborhood of the City of Cincinnati. Cincinnati Gardens was an indoor arena located in Cincinnati, Ohio, that opened in 1949. The 25,000 square foot (2,300 m²) brick and limestone building at 2250 Seymour Avenue in Bond Hill had a entrance that was decorated with six three-dimensional carved athletic figures. When it opened, its seating capacity of 11,000+ made it the seventh largest indoor arena in the United States. The Cincinnati Gardens' first event was an exhibition hockey game. It has been the home of six league championship hockey teams, and most recently was the home of the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League. It also has been host to numerous other sporting events, concerts, stage shows, circuses, and political rallies. The Gardens' final tenants were the Cincinnati Rollergirls of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association and the Cincinnati Thunder of the North American 3 Hockey League. In 2013, the Robinson family, which had owned the Gardens since 1979, put the arena up for sale. The family-controlled company, Kenko Corporation, no longer considered the arena a core asset. On June 16, 2016, the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority approved a contract to acquire the property for $1.75 million from the Robinson family, which intended to repurpose the 19-acre (7.7 ha) site for future light manufacturing. Demolition took place in March 2018.

The Cintas Center is a 10,250-seat multi-purpose arena and conference center at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The arena officially opened in 2000 and was constructed through private donations as part of Xavier University's Century Campaign. It is home to the Xavier University Musketeers basketball and volleyball teams. It is named for the uniform company Cintas.

Avon Fields Golf Course is a historic golf course in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.The course was developed and run by the city until the late 1990s when Kemper Sports Management won the rights to run the city courses. In 2003, Billy Casper Golf took over the contract.Avon Field is located in North Avondale and borders Norwood. The course is the oldest municipal course west of the Alleghenies. City records cannot be found for the original course designer. The Donald Ross archival website lists Avon Fields as one of his designs. Others suggest it was designed by a member of the Spaulding family, later famous for sporting goods. While records show that renowned architect William Langford a revision of the design in 1925. Avon is a par 66 18-hole golf course consisting of 12 par 4s and 6 par 3s and a full service driving range. The front and back nines were switched in the 1960s, when construction of the Norwood Lateral provided the impetus to reduce some of the steepest hills and to rework this vintage course

The Avon Woods Preserve, owned and operated by the Cincinnati Park Board, is a city park in the North Avondale neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The park has nature trails, gardens, a nature center and stream, as well as educational programs offered to children.

J. Page Hayden Field is a baseball venue in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is home to the Xavier Musketeers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Big East. Since 2006, the Cincinnati Steam of the collegiate summer Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League have also used Hayden Field. The facility was dedicated in 1982 for J. Page Hayden, under whose name a donation for the field's renovation was made. It has a capacity of 500 spectators.
