New Richmond, also known as New Richmond on the Ohio, is a village in Ohio and Pierce townships in Clermont County, Ohio, United States, founded in 1814, along the Ohio River. The population was 2,727 at the 2020 census.

The Ferris Site is an archaeological site in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. Located in Clermont County, along the Ohio River about 5 miles (8.0 km) downstream from the William H. Zimmer Power Station, the site consists of approximately 3 acres (1.2 ha) of land along an intermittent stream,In 1970, University of Cincinnati archaeologists excavated the Ferris Site. This investigation yielded a significant number of stone tools, such as blanks, blades, and knives. Synthesis of the artifacts discovered at Ferris has led to the conclusion that it was occupied during the Early Archaic period. As such, it is a unique site in southern Ohio. In recognition of its significance, Ferris was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It is one of nine archaeological sites in the county that is listed on the National Register.

The Elijah Herndon House is located in California, Kentucky and built in the Federal style in 1818. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.It is a single-story brick building with a one-story ell, with the front facade's brick laid in Flemish bond and side walls done in common bond. The main block is 20 by 40 feet (6.1 m × 12.2 m) and the ell is 17 by 15 feet (5.2 m × 4.6 m).Elijah Herndon married and moved to Campbell County, Kentucky before 1800, where he is listed on the census. Elijah appears on the Scott County, Kentucky tax lists for 1796, where he lived with his father Lewis Herndon. Elijah Herndon was born in Goochland County, Virginia November 27, 1774. Elijah and his horse served in the War of 1812 from Kentucky. A family story states that Elijah and his slaves built the brick home on Washington Trace Road in 1818 out of bricks used as a ship's ballast for his second wife Elizabeth Sadler. Elijah died July 26, 1849.

The Walter C. Beckjord Generating Station was a 1.43-gigawatt (1,433 MW), dual-fuel power generating facility located near New Richmond, Ohio, 22 miles east of Cincinnati, Ohio. The plant began operation in 1952 and was decommissioned in 2014. It was jointly owned by Duke Energy, American Electric Power (AEP), and Dayton Power & Light (DP&L).
