East Kirkton Quarry is a former limestone quarry in West Lothian, Scotland (East Kirkton Limestone), now better known as a fossil site known for terrestrial fossils from the fossil-poor Romer's gap, a 15 million year period at the beginning of the Carboniferous. The rocks and fossils are of Visean age, about 335 million years old. Best known are the labyrinthodont fossils, as the period coincides with the time where the modern lineages of tetrapods are thought to have evolved.

Opened on 18 October 2010, it is close to the junction of the former Edinburgh and Bathgate Railway and the former Bathgate and Coatbridge Railway to the east of the 1986 station. Boghall is a Council Estate built in the early 1960s in West Lothian, Scotland just to the east of Bathgate. Boghall's two primary schools are Boghall Primary School and St. Columbus R.C. Primary School. Boghall has a range of amenities including a community centre, post office, 3 corner shops, a Scotmid supermarket, pharmacy, chip shop and indian restaurant as well as a second hand shop and NHS clinic and care home. Boghall is also home to Boghall Butchers which has won many awards for its pies and other foods. There are also 5 play parks around Boghall including Kirkton park, a community park which large green areas, a band stand and bowling/tennis club. Party in the park a small local festival is held here each year in September. In the middle of the estate is the Boghall Parish Church of Scotland which offers weekly worship as well as various activities during the week in the Church hall. Boghall is found just on Puir wives brae which is part of the Bathgate hills. Bathgate academy is also found within Boghall to the South West. Just outside of Boghall is the Pyramids business park along with a Toby Carvery restaurant, a Premier inn hotel and a petrol station all of which local people consider to be in Boghall.

Bathgate Upper railway station was a railway station serving the town of Bathgate in West Lothian, Scotland. It was located on the Bathgate and Coatbridge Railway.

The Pyramids are a land sculpture alongside the M8 motorway at Bathgate. Originally named the "Sawtooth Ramps", it was sponsored by Motorola and formed part of the M8 Art Project. The sculpture was created by artist Patricia Leighton in 1993. It is 1,000 feet (300 m) long and consists of seven 36-foot (11 m) high ramps made of earth and seeded with grass. The artist based the design on local geographic features (drumlins) and the shape of the surrounding bings. Sheep are grazed on the structure which keeps the grass short. The pyramidal shape of the sculpture gave rise to the name of the nearby Pyramids Business Park.

Bathgate (Scots: Bathket or Bathkit, Scottish Gaelic: Both Chèit) is a town in West Lothian, Scotland, 5 miles (8 km) west of Livingston and adjacent to the M8 motorway. Nearby towns are Armadale, Blackburn, Linlithgow, Livingston, West Calder and Whitburn. Situated 2 miles (3 km) south of the ancient Neolithic burial site at Cairnpapple Hill, Bathgate and the surrounding area show signs of habitation since about 3500 BC and the world's oldest known reptile fossil has been found in the town. By the 12th century, Bathgate was a small settlement, with a church at Kirkton and a castle south of the present day town centre. Local mines were established in the 17th century but the town remained small in size until the coming of the industrial revolution. By the Victorian era, Bathgate grew in prominence as an industrial and mining centre, principally associated with the coal and shale oil industries. By the early 20th century, much of the mining and heavy industry around the town had ceased and the town developed manufacturing industries, principally in vehicle production and later electronics before these factories closed in the late 20th century. Today Bathgate is the second largest town in West Lothian, after Livingston and serves as a regional commuter town within the Scottish Central Belt.

Balbardie House was an 18th century Scottish mansion house in West Lothian, Scotland, near to the town of Bathgate.

The Regal Community Theatre is a Scottish cinema and venue situated in Bathgate, West Lothian. The building became a listed building in 1999 and was upgraded to Category B in 2008, the decisive factor being the plasterwork by John Alexander. The Leven-based architect Andrew David Haxton designed the cinema in 1938. In 1995 the building was renovated; currently it serves as a venue for the community, offering a diverse programme of film, music, theatre, comedy, children's events and workshops. Until a change of management, it was also the home of Regal Radio (now based in another building), and it had its own animation company called Regal Animation (now closed).The three-storey theatre is located on North Bridge Street in the centre of Bathgate. The Art Deco building is located on a flattened slope. The entrance front faces south and has five bays. It is decorated with plasterwork, colossal pilasters and stylized keystones. The outer, two-storey elements stand out in particular, with the colourful-lettered REGAL logo adorning the façade. The building has a flat-roof structure.The floor of the foyer is decorated with terrazzo tiles, and the ceiling is decorated with plasterwork. The original stained glass windows are partially preserved, the interior still showing the building's original purpose. The foyer is flanked by stairs that lead to the gallery and the upstairs bar. The lower parts of the walls are decorated with walnut veneer. Small exhibition rooms have been set up on both the ground floor and the second floor. The gallery on the second floor has been turned into an office.

Blackburn United Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Blackburn, West Lothian. The team plays at Tier 6 of the Scottish Football Pyramid in the East of Scotland League Premier Division having moved from the junior leagues in 2018. Blackburn United became full members of the Scottish Football Association in June 2019.
