Brush Creek is a stream in Platte County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Missouri River. Brush Creek was so named on account of brush near its course.

The National Golf Club of Kansas City is an exclusive golf club located in the Kansas City, Missouri, suburb of Parkville. The golf course was designed by champion golfer Tom Watson, a native of Kansas City, Missouri. For two years (2003–04) the club hosted the Senior PGA's Bayer Advantage golf tournament. It features two golf courses, the north side or "The National", and the south side or "The Deuce". Both are owned and operated by the National Golf Club of Kansas City. Along with being a golf club, it is also a community with tennis courts, a pool, and multiple ponds. Route 45, which passes the course is called the Tom Watson Parkway.

The Trowbridge Archaeological Site is located in the vicinity of North 61st Street and Leavenworth Road in Kansas City, Kansas. Discovered in 1939 by amateur archaeologist Harry Trowbridge in his backyard, it was inhabited c. AD 200–600 by the Kansas City Hopewell culture.: 1, 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1971, and placed on the Register of Historic Kansas Places on July 1, 1977.: 1

Washington Chapel C.M.E. Church is a historic Christian Methodist Episcopal church located at 1137 West Street in Parkville, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1907, and is a two-story, rectangular, Late Gothic Revival style native limestone building. It has a gable roof and features a castellated corner tower and projecting bays.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Benjamin Banneker School is a historic one-room school building located at Parkville, Platte County, Missouri. It was built in 1885, and is a one-story, red brick building with gable roof. It measures approximately 34 feet by 18 feet and sits on a rubble limestone foundation with basement. It served as the primary school for African-American students until about 1902, when a new school was constructed. It has been converted to a private residence.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Lakeside Speedway is a 4/10 mile auto racing Dirt track located in Kansas City, Kansas. It features racing on a weekly basis from April to September in USRA Modified, USRA Stock Car, USRA B-Mod, E-Modifieds, Grand National and Factory Stock categories. Racing at the track is sanctioned by United States Racing Association.

Wolcott is a neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas, in the United States. Wolcott was originally called Connor, and under the latter name was platted as a village in 1868. When the railroad was extended to that point in 1902, it was renamed in honor of Herbert Wolcott, a railroad official.

The Waddell "A" Truss Bridge, also known by its original name of Linn Branch Creek Bridge is one of two surviving examples of the "A" Truss Bridge type originated by John Alexander Low Waddell. It was originally completed in 1898 near Trimble, Missouri, and is currently located at English Landing Park in Parkville, Platte County, Missouri. The bridge was relocated in 1987 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
