The Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute (MBI) at the University of Florida (UF) is a comprehensive and diverse neuroscience research center that houses the UF College of Medicine’s four “neuro” departments: neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry. The MBI is one of the nation’s most comprehensive and technologically advanced centers devoted to discovering how the normal brain operates, and how we can repair the brain following injury, disease or aging. The MBI connects and supports over 200 faculty from all 16 UF colleges with research focus areas that include brain cancer; breathing research and therapeutics; chronic neurological diseases (such as Parkinson’s, dystonia, ALS and Alzheimer’s); cognitive aging; mental health, neurobehavioral sciences and psychiatry; and traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. The MBI was the first of the four McKnight Brain Institutes across the U.S., named in honor of a gift from the McKnight Brain Research Foundation. Dr. Todd Golde is the current executive director of the MBI. Former executive directors include founding director Dr. William Luttge, Dr. Douglas Anderson, Dr. Dennis A. Steindler and Dr. Tetsuo Ashizawa.

UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital is an academic cancer center in Gainesville, Florida. The 200 bed complex focuses on producing basic laboratory findings that will ultimately be used for preventive therapies for cancers.

The Helyx Bridge, unofficially dubbed the DNA Bridge, is a pedestrian and bicycle overpass located in Gainesville, Florida. It crosses over U.S. Route 441 (US 441).

The University of Florida Health Science Center (HSC), also known as the J. Hillis Miller Health Science Center, is the medical division of the University of Florida. Its primary campuses are located on the university's main campus in Gainesville, Florida and at UF Health at Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. The Health Science Center comprises six colleges: Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, and Veterinary Medicine. The Gainesville campus is the only academic health center in the United States with six health-related colleges located on a single, contiguous campus.In 2018 the Health Science Center generated over $410 Million in total research awards, and also collected over $22 Million in licensing and royalties The HSC is affiliated with UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville and UF Health Jacksonville. As of 2019 the Health Science Center enrolls 7,010 students within the six HSC academic colleges. In addition the HSC employs over 2,400 Faculty Members, over 24,000 staff members, and over 1,200 fellows and residents.

The Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & Information Technology, or simply Malachowsky Hall, is a building on the University of Florida (UF) campus. Named after UF alumnus and Nvidia co-founder Chris Malachowsky, the building began construction in 2020 and opened in November 2023. It houses spaces for several of the university's colleges and departments including the College of Engineering, the College of Pharmacy, and College of Medicine, as well as the Informatics Institute, part of UF Research.

The Constans Theatre is a performing arts venue located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida.

Liberty Pond (historically Green Pond) is a body of water on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. The pond is named in honor of students and alumni of the university who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The pond has a veterans' memorial on its north shore and acts as a venue for memorial ceremonies held by local veterans' organizations.Liberty Pond is overlooked by the J. Wayne Reitz Union, the student union of the University of Florida. The lake is a landmark on campus and has occasionally been included in social media marketing for the university and associated organizations.Liberty Pond is over 100-years old and is likely a sinkhole lake. The pond is home to various species of alligators, birds (ranging from finches to hawks), and small mammals such as armadillos.The pond was known as Green Pond until 2013, when the university board of trustees officially renamed the lake. In 2022, the US Board on Geographic Names officially recognized the name change after efforts by a student of the university. The name was additionally recognized by local, regional, and state officials.

The M. E. Rinker Sr. School of Construction Management at the University of Florida prepares graduates for careers in the construction industry. As part of the university's College of Design, Construction, and Planning, the school's name was officially changed from the M. E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction to the M. E. Rinker Sr. School of Construction Management in 2014.

The Hough Graduate School of Business is the home to the graduate business programs of the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. All programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The J. Wayne Reitz Union is the student union of the University of Florida, located on Museum Road on the university campus in Gainesville, Florida, United States. The union was named in honor of J. Wayne Reitz, the fifth president of the university, who served from 1955 to 1967. The building, which was originally completed in 1967, contains dining facilities, meeting rooms, offices, a computer lab, a game room, an outdoor amphitheater, retail stores, a movie theater and a hotel. East of the Reitz Union is the Constans Theatre, a performing arts venue. Although the two buildings are connected, the Constans Theatre is not managed by the union.

The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience or Whitney Marine Lab at the University of Florida is a research and teaching facility, that conducts research pertaining to Marine Bioscience. The Marine lab can be traced back to the benefactor Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney, who donated numerous acres to the University of Florida so that a site could be used. It was the intention of this benefactor to study the natural history of marine animals. Whitney paid a large share of the construction costs, and the Laboratory officially opened on January 30, 1974. In the years that followed an additional building, named Whitney Hall, containing dormitory rooms, conference centers, and apartments were constructed with funds provided primarily by Cornelius and Marylou Whitney.

The Yulee area (also known as the Yulee–Mallory–Reid dormitory complex) is a historic residence hall complex at 13th Street and Inner Road, SW, on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida in the United States. It is the site of the first permanent dormitories built for women after the campus became co-educational in 1947. On June 24, 2008, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
