The Volkswagen Zwickau-Mosel Plant (German: Volkswagenwerk Zwickau) is an automobile factory in today's Zwickau district of Mosel, Germany. Founded on 26 September 1990, together with the Chemnitz plant and the Transparent Factory, it belongs to Volkswagen Sachsen, based in Zwickau. Currently (as of spring 2019), the Zwickau plant has about 8,000 employees. Signalling a milestone the last combustion vehicle was produced on 26 June 2020.

Meerane station is a railway station on the Glauchau–Gößnitz railway. Meerane station is the only station in the town of Meerane in the German state of Saxony. The station is now served by Regionalbahn and Regional-Express services on the Mid-Germany Connection (Mitte-Deutschland-Verbindung). Freight transport facilities no longer exist.

Meerane (German: [meˈʁaːnə] ) is a town in the Zwickau district of Saxony, Germany. It lies midway between the towns of Altenburg and Zwickau, west of Chemnitz. As of 31 December 2015, there were 14,851 inhabitants. The population has declined from a peak of over 26,000 in the 1940s. Meerane was once important for the manufacture of woollen and mixed cloths; associated industries such as dyeworks, tanneries and machine factories were also located there.

Its population was 647 in 2018. Oberrothenbach is situated on the left bank of the Zwickauer Mulde, 6 km north of the centre of Zwickau.

Gößnitz (German pronunciation: [ˈɡœsnɪt͡s] ) is a town in the Altenburger Land district, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated on the river Pleiße, 12 km south of Altenburg, and 20 km northwest of Zwickau. Gößnitz received its town charter in 1718. It is known for the railroad junction of the Leipzig-Hof railway connection and the Central-Germany connection (Dresden - Chemnitz - Gößnitz - Gera - Erfurt) and its station prides itself having Europe's longest platform, as well as the Gößnitz Open-Air. The town's greatest prosperity was at the time of industrialization; Hence Viktor Grimm's representative malt factory from 1889 still characterizes the cityscape.

Gößnitz station is a railway station on the Leipzig–Hof railway, the Glauchau–Gößnitz railway and the Gößnitz–Gera (Mid-Germany Railway) in Gößnitz in the German state of Thuringia. The station was opened on 15 March 1844 with the Altenburg–Crimmitschau section by the Saxon-Bavarian Railway Company (Sächsisch-Baiersche Eisenbahn-Compagnie).

Glauchau (German pronunciation: [ˈɡlaʊxaʊ] ; Upper Sorbian: Hłuchow, pronounced [ˈhwuxɔf]) is a town in the German federal state of Saxony, on the right bank of the Mulde, 7 miles north of Zwickau and 17 miles west of Chemnitz by rail (its train station is on the Dresden–Werdau line). It is part of the Zwickau district.
