Issy-les-Moulineaux

The Château d'Issy, at Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the Hauts-de-Seine department of France, was a small French Baroque château on the outskirts of Paris. It was destroyed during the Paris Commune of 1871.

Mairie d'Issy (French pronunciation: ​[mɛʁi disi]) is the southern terminus of Line 12 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Issy-les-Moulineaux. It is named after and located near the town hall; shops located on the Avenue Victor Cresson and Avenue de la République are served by the station. It was opened on 24 March 1934 as part of the extension of the line from Porte de Versailles.

The Musée Français de la Carte à Jouer is a museum of playing cards located at 16, rue Auguste Gervais, Issy-les-Moulineaux, a suburb of Paris, France. It is open Wednesdays through Sundays. An admission fee is charged. The museum was established in 1986 based on the collections of Louis Chardonneret (1849–1935) and Robert Thissen, and since 1997 has occupied its current location in the former Château d'Issy of the Princes of Conti. It contains about 9000 objects, including nearly 6500 playing cards, 980 etchings, drawings, and posters, and more than other 1000 objects related to card games. It also presents temporary exhibitions. Other galleries tell the story of Issy-les-Moulineaux and the chateau of the Princes of Conti, the beginnings of aviation, and noted artists associated with Issy (Auguste Rodin, Henri Matisse, and Jean Dubuffet). The museum won the 1999 European Museum of the Year Award.

The canton of Issy-les-Moulineaux is an administrative division of the Hauts-de-Seine department, in northern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Issy-les-Moulineaux.It consists of the following communes: Issy-les-Moulineaux

Fort d'Issy was one of the fortifications of the city of Paris, France, built between 1841 and 1845. It was one of six forts built to the south of the main wall around the city. The fort was placed too close to the city to be effective, and had a poor design that did not take into account recent experience of siege warfare. It was quickly silenced during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870–71. After the armistice of February 1871 the fort was defended by National Guards of the Paris Commune against the French regular army in April–May 1871. The defense was irresolute and the fort was soon occupied. Today the site of the fort is an "eco-district", an ecologically friendly residential area.

The Saint-Sulpice Seminary (French: Séminaire Saint-Sulpice) is a Catholic seminary run by the Society of the Priests of Saint Sulpice, located in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.

ArianeGroup (formerly Airbus Safran Launchers) is an aerospace company based in France. A joint venture between Airbus and Safran, the company was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux. It consists of three core arms: aerospace, defence and security. ArianeGroup is currently developing its next-generation two-stage Ariane 6 launch vehicle, intended to succeed the Ariane 5 rocket, which has been launched more than 110 times. The new vehicle will be offered in two variants that will be capable of carrying between 10,350 and 21,650 kilograms. The first launch of Ariane 6 is expected to occur in 2023. If the company's task is to develop and manufacture the launch vehicles, Arianespace acts as the launch service provider for them. Meanwhile, another subsidiary, ArianeWorks, is tasked with developing next-generation technologies like the reusable Themis rocket booster. ArianeGroup also notably manufactures France's M51 nuclear submarine-launched ballistic missile and is developing its upcoming ASN4G nuclear air-launched cruise missile. As of 2016, ArianeGroup's principal sites are located in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, Kourou (space center), Vernon, Le Haillan and Les Mureaux in France as well as Lampoldshausen, Bremen and Ottobrunn in Germany.

Issy–Val de Seine is a station on RER C served by RER C5 and C7. Situated in Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the départment of Hauts-de-Seine, the station serves the business district of Val de Seine. In rush hours, the station is served by 12 trains per hour; in off-peak hours, it is served by 6 trains per hour. The station provides an interchange with Paris Tramway Line 2. It was the terminus of the tramway between 1997 and 2009, when the tramway was extended eastwards to Porte de Versailles.

The Val de Seine is one of the most important business districts of the Paris agglomeration. Corentin Celton (French pronunciation: ​[kɔʁɑ̃tɛ̃ sɛltɔ̃]) is a station on Line 12 of the Paris Métro in the commune of Issy-les-Moulineaux. It opened on 24 March 1934 as part of the line's extension from Porte de Versailles to Mairie d'Issy. In 1863, the hospice of the Petits Ménages relocated from the 7th arrondissement of Paris to Issy-les-Moulineaux, leaving a large area for the expansion of Le Bon Marché department store. The metro station was originally called Petits Ménages because it was located near the hospice, which later became a hospital. In 1945, the hospital and station were renamed to commemorate Corentin Celton, an employee of the hospice and member of the French Resistance, shot by the Nazis at the Fort Mont-Valérien.

Tour Sequana (previously known as Tour Mozart) is an office skyscraper in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Val de Seine business district, close to Paris. 100 meters high, it can accommodate 2,720 people. It was designed by Arquitectonica in collaboration with the design office Arup Sustainable Design, and inaugurated on September 14, 2010.The tower, built by Bouygues, is HQE certified by counting five HQE targets reached with the “high performance” level, and six HQE targets achieved with the “average performance” level.All the equipment should enable the tower to save 50% compared to the energy consumption of traditional offices, or CO2 emissions of 12 kg / m2 per year. In 2007, Bouygues Immobilier won the Grand Prix Eco Building Performance in the “Very High Building” category, rewarding the energy and environmental quality of its tower.

Clamart is a railway station in Clamart, a southwestern suburb of Paris, France. It is situated on the Paris–Brest railway. It is served by Transilien trains from Paris-Montparnasse to Rambouillet, Dreux and Mantes-la-Jolie.
