Syrau

Mehltheuer is a village and a former municipality in the Vogtlandkreis district, in Saxony, Germany. Since 1 January 2011, it is part of the municipality Rosenbach.During World War II, Germany operated a subcamp of the Flossenbürg concentration camp in the village, in which over 300 Jewish women from German-occupied Poland and Hungary were imprisoned as forced labour. The prisoners were liberated by American troops in 1945.There is a train station in the village.

Rosenbach (official name: Rosenbach/Vogtl.) is a municipality in the Vogtlandkreis district, in Saxony, Germany. It was formed on 1 January 2011 by the merger of the former municipalities Leubnitz, Mehltheuer and Syrau.

Vogtländisches Oberland is a former municipality in the district of Greiz, in Thuringia, Germany. It was disbanded on 31 December 2012. The villages Cossengrün, Hohndorf and Schönbach became part of the town Greiz, the villages Arnsgrün, Bernsgrün and Pöllwitz became part of the town Zeulenroda-Triebes. Its population was 2,851 (2011), and its area was 71.62 km2.

Plauen (Vogtland) Oberer Bahnhof (Upper station) is the main station of Plauen in the German state of Saxony on the Leipzig–Hof line. It is the main hub of rail traffic in Vogtland. This station is maintained and operated by DB Station&Service.

The Rosenbach is a river of Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the White Elster, which it joins near Plauen.

Plauen (German pronunciation: [ˈplaʊən]; Czech: Plavno) is, with around 65,000 inhabitants, the fifth-largest city of Saxony, Germany after Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz and Zwickau, the second-largest city of the Vogtland after Gera, as well as the largest city in the Saxon Vogtland (German: Sächsisches Vogtland). The city lies on the river White Elster (Weiße Elster; a tributary of the Saale), in the Central Vogtlandian Hill Country. Plauen is the southwesternmost city of a string of cities sitting in the densely populated foreland of the Elster and Ore Mountains, stretching from Plauen in the southwest via Zwickau, Chemnitz and Freiberg to Dresden in the northeast. It is the capital of the Vogtland District. Plauen borders Thuringia to the north, and it is also situated near the Saxon border with Bavaria (Franconia) and the Czech Republic (Bohemia). Although being a Saxon city, the regional Vogtlandian dialect spoken in Plauen is a (Saxon-influenced) East Franconian variant related to the dialects of neighbouring Franconia in Bavaria. The name of the city as well as the names of many of its boroughs are of Slavic origin. Plauen and the surrounding Saxon Vogtland are known as the centre of the German embroidery and lace industry.

The Plauen tramway network (German: Straßenbahnnetz Plauen) is a network of tramways forming part of the public transport system in Plauen, a city in the federal state of Saxony, Germany. Opened in 1894, the network has been operated since 1990 by Plauener Straßenbahn GmbH (PSB), and is integrated in the Verkehrsverbund Vogtland (VVV).

The Embroidery Machine Museum has historical and regional importance in the City of Plauen, Germany. The exhibit is located in a small group of buildings consisting of a home and a small factory with original embroidery machines. Because of the historic and authentic nature of the structures and the originality of the machinery, this exhibit offers insight into Saxony textile industry as it existed in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The Feudal Estate of Kürbitz, in Vogtland, was a manor of the family of Feilitzsch; only a part of the mansion is extant.

Kürbitz is a former municipality in the district of Vogtlandkreis in Saxony in Germany located near Plauen. On 1 January 1999, the village was merged into the municipality Weischlitz.
