Downtown Boise is the central business district of Boise, Idaho, located north of the Boise River. It is the largest city center in the state of Idaho.

Eighth & Main is an 18-story building in Boise, Idaho. At 323 feet, it is the tallest building in the state. It houses the Idaho headquarters of Zions Bank, as well as Holland & Hart and other companies. Construction was completed in early 2014, and a grand opening celebration was held on February 15. The location, formerly known as "the pit" and the "Boise Hole", had sat vacant since 1987. Besides Zions Bank, other tenants include Holland & Hart LLP, Ruth's Chris Steak House, CTA Architects Engineers, First American Title Company, Clenera, LLC, and the Idaho Technology Council. Half of the top floor (17th Floor), known as the Idaho & Snake River Rooms, is available for limited public rental focused on non-profit and community oriented events.

Idaho Central Arena (originally Bank of America Centre, formerly Qwest Arena and CenturyLink Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in the western United States, located in Boise, Idaho. Its seating capacity is 5,002 for ice hockey, 5,300 for basketball, 5,732 for end-stage concerts, 6,400 for boxing, and up to 6,800 for center-stage concerts. With 4,508 permanent seats, it was built for $50 million. In downtown Boise, its street level elevation is approximately 2,700 feet (825 m) above sea level. Opened 25 years ago, it has been the home arena of the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL since 1997. Other tenants include the Boise Stallions of the Indoor Professional Football League in 2000 and 2001, the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League from 2005 to 2016, and the Boise Burn of the af2 from 2007 to 2009. Originally the Bank of America Centre, it became Qwest Arena in 2005. With CenturyLink's takeover of Qwest Communications in 2011, the venue was renamed on August 18 that same year. On September 16, 2020, Idaho Central Credit Union purchased the naming rights, giving the building its current title.

The Diocese of Boise (Latin: Diœcesis Xylopolitana) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in the northwestern U.S., encompassing the entire state of Idaho. It is led by a bishop who serves as pastor of the cathedral, the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Boise. The Diocese of Boise is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Portland.

Boise ( (listen) BOY-see) is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Idaho and is the county seat of Ada County. On the Boise River in southwestern Idaho, it is 41 miles (66 km) east of the Oregon border and 110 miles (177 km) north of the Nevada border. The downtown area's elevation is 2,704 feet (824 m) above sea level. The population according to the 2020 US Census was 235,684. The Boise metropolitan area, also known as the Treasure Valley, includes five counties with a combined population of 749,202, the most populous metropolitan area in Idaho. It contains the state's three largest cities: Boise, Nampa, and Meridian. Boise is the 77th most populous metropolitan statistical area in the United States. Downtown Boise is the cultural center and home to many small businesses and some mid-rise buildings. The area has a variety of shops and restaurants. Centrally, 8th Street contains a pedestrian zone with sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The neighborhood has many local restaurants, bars, and boutiques. The area also contains the Basque Block, which showcases Boise's Basque heritage. Downtown Boise's main attractions include the Idaho State Capitol, the classic Egyptian Theatre on the corner of Capitol Boulevard and Main Street, the Boise Art Museum on Capitol in front of Julia Davis Park, and Zoo Boise on the grounds of Julia Davis Park.

The Anduiza Hotel is an historic hotel located in Boise, Idaho, United States. The hotel was constructed in 1914 to serve as a boarding house for Basque sheep herders. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 25, 2003. It was built by and/or for Basque immigrant Juan "Jack" Anduiza.It contains a fronton for playing Basque pelota.It was designed by architects Nisbet & Paradice.Nisbet and Paradice designed the "Anduiza Hotel, built as a Basque boarding house with its own fronton (pelota court). The Anduiza is on the National Register of Historic Places and still serves as a center of Basque cultural heritage in Boise."

The Boise City National Bank building in Boise, Idaho, was designed by architect James King as a 3-story, Richardsonian Romanesque commercial structure, inspired by the Marshall Field's Wholesale Store in Chicago. Construction began in April, 1891, and the building was completed in 1892.The Boise City National Bank building also has been named the Simplot Building, the Baird Building, and the Capital Security Building. Additionally the building is known informally either as the 801 Building or as the 805 Building.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places November 28, 1978.

The Egyptian Theatre is a theatre and concert venue in the western United States, located in Boise, Idaho. It has also been known as the Ada Theater (Boise is the seat of Ada County). Inaugurated 95 years ago in 1927, it is the oldest theatre in the city. When it opened, the local press wrote that it "embodies the characteristic features of the land of the Nile, from the truncated pyramids which form the great pylons, to the lotus bud pillars with their ornate frescoes." The great lotus pillars flanking the screen are based on those of Karnak. The theatre has been renovated by Conrad Schmitt Studios.

The Ada Odd Fellows Temple stood at 109-1151⁄2 N. 9th Street in Boise, Idaho. Built in 1903 by the prominent local architecture firm of Tourtellotte and Co. (later Tourtellotte & Hummel), it served as the clubhouse of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Ada Lodge No. 3. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, due largely to its association with Tourtellotte. Its sandstone masonry was quarried from nearby Table Rock.In 1953, the north half of the building was demolished, and construction began on the First Security Building (now known as Plaza 121) in its place. Also demolished at the time was the building's original ornate, Gothic-style entrance. In 1990, the Odd Fellows sold the remaining building to First Security (now part of Wells Fargo). Over the objections of some members of the Idaho State Historical Society, First Security demolished the remaining Odd Fellows building in 1994, citing concerns about the building's condition.In its place, First Security created a "pocket park" that included a low wall made from some of the temple's original sandstone. The remainder of the stone was donated to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, which used it in the construction of its outdoor theater on Warm Springs Avenue, and to the Boise School District, which used it in the restoration of the Bown House, an 1879 building on the campus of Riverside Elementary School. The park only existed for a little over a decade; in 2005, the First Security Building was renovated and expanded to become Plaza 121, which covers much of the lot, although the wall built from the Odd Fellows Temple's sandstone can still be seen in front of the Berryhill & Co. restaurant that now occupies the ground floor of the site.

The Chinese Odd Fellows Building, in Boise, Idaho, was an Odd Fellows building built in 1911. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It served historically as a clubhouse and as a business. The building was one of many designed or built by the Tourtellotte and Hummel architectural firm of Boise that were covered in a 1982 study.

Alexanders is a two-story, Second Renaissance Revival style commercial building designed by architects Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in Boise, Idaho, in 1924. The brick building is clad in white terracotta.Alexanders was a men's clothing store chain begun in 1891 by Moses Alexander. After construction, the building at 826 Main Street contained Alexanders' flagship store, although Alexanders had operated a store prior to 1924 at the same corner.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Cyrus Jacobs House, also known as the Cyrus Jacobs-Uberuaga House and the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, in Boise, Idaho, is a 1+1⁄2-story brick house constructed by Charles May in 1864. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
