Tarsney Lakes is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Jackson County, Missouri, United States. It is in the eastern part of the county, northeast of the unincorporated community of Tarsney, and consisting of residential neighborhoods surrounding Tarsney Lake and Wood Lake, just south of the West Fork of Sni-A-Bar Creek. It is 28 miles (45 km) southeast of downtown Kansas City. Tarsney Lakes was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Lake Jacomo is a 970-acre (3.9 km2) freshwater reservoir located near Blue Springs in Jackson County, Missouri. It is located in the 7,809-acre (32 km2) Fleming Park, which is managed by the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Association. The idea for the lake began in 1932. The Presiding Judge of Jackson County, Harry S. Truman, requested that a study be done for a potential park. However, nothing was done at that time. It was 20 years later that local voters approved a bond issue to create and develop the lake. Lake Jacomo officially opened on May 30, 1959.

Grain Valley is a city in Jackson County, Missouri, United States. Grain Valley is located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area and is a suburb of Kansas City. The population was 12,854 at the 2010 census and an estimated 15,627 in 2020. It is 23 miles (37 km) east of downtown Kansas City.

Grain Valley High School is a high school in the Grain Valley R-V School District in Grain Valley, Missouri, United States. The school offers several Advanced Placement (AP) and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses. It participates in the A+ program giving students the chance to attend a two-year community college or vocational school if they meet certain requirements. The first brick school, built in 1909, was destroyed by fire in 1925. It was replaced and housed all students until January, 1954, when an elementary (K-6) building was erected adjacent to the junior high and high school. In the early 1990s a middle school was added on the south edge of town. Eventually, this became the site of the Grain Valley High School and the road in front, originally MO Route AA, now named Eagles Parkway.
