Marlboro Music School and Festival

Marlboro College was a private college in Marlboro, Vermont. Founded in 1946, it remained intentionally small, operating as a self-governing community with students following self-designed degree plans culminating in a thesis. In 1998, the college added a graduate school. The college closed at the end of the 2019–2020 academic year and gifted its endowment to Emerson College in Boston to create the Marlboro Institute of Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies at Emerson College.

Marlboro is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,722 at the 2020 census. The town is home to both the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum and Marlboro College, which hosts the Marlboro Music School and Festival each summer.

The Marlboro School is a small public school in Marlboro, Vermont. Marlboro is a member of the Coalition of Essential Schools Marlboro has an enrollment of 79 students. It is one of six k-8 schools in Vermont with an enrollment of less than 80. Classrooms are all multi-aged, except for kindergarten. The school district does not run a high school and instead pays a certain amount of tuition for town students to attend out-of-town high schools, public or private. Most Marlboro students go on to attend Brattleboro Union High School, the only high school to which transportation is provided, as of early 2008. Starting in the junior-high years, students start thinking about which high school they want to attend, and guidance counselors and principals from nearby high schools come to Marlboro to talk with them and their parents. School visitations are arranged and information on private schools is also made available.

The Southern Vermont Natural History Museum is a natural history museum, at the Hogback Mountain Scenic Overlook on Route 9 in West Marlboro, Vermont. The museum is surrounded by the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area, over 600 acres of protected forest land, with views of three states. The Museum was established in 1996 around the Luman Ranger Nelson Natural History Collection, one of the largest collections of native birds and mammals in the northeast, with 250 species represented. The museum's founder Ed Metcalfe intended the museum to serve as an educational resource for local communities and visitors to the area. Exhibits are focused on a taxidermy collection but also include a variety of small hands-on exhibits for children, a mineralogy exhibit and a variety of native live animals. The Museum presents a variety of natural history and environmental science programs throughout central New England, western New York and Vermont.

WRSY (101.5 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Marlboro, Vermont. The station is owned by Saga Communications, and operates as part of its Monadnock Broadcasting Group. WRSY airs an adult album alternative radio format, via a simulcast of 93.9 WRSI in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. WRSY is heard in Southeastern Vermont and Southwestern New Hampshire.

Hogback Mountain is a mountain in southern Vermont, United States, in the town of Marlboro, Vermont, just north of Vermont Route 9. Its main peak is 2,409 feet (734 m) high. The area is well known for expansive views from Route 9. Hogback Mountain Ski Area was located across Route 9 on Mount Olga and relied exclusively on T-bars for ascent. It operated from 1946 to 1986, using only natural snow, and blamed the cost of insurance for causing it to close. Countless local children learned to ski at the ski area, especially because free skiing was offered weekly to students from the nearby Marlboro School for years. Roughly 590 acres (2.4 km2) was purchased and given to the town of Marlboro as conservation land, known as Hogback Mountain Conservation Area. Some of the old ski lifts remain on the property, along with various buildings, including a fire lookout tower. Trails are semi-clear, as volunteers continue to keep some open and available to cross country skiers, backcountry skiers, hikers, and snowshoers.

Molly Stark State Park is a 148-acre state park in Wilmington, Vermont. The park is named for Molly Stark, the famous wife of General John Stark of the American Revolutionary War, and is located along the Molly Stark Byway. Activities includes camping, hiking, picnicking, mountain biking, wildlife watching, and winter sports. There is a loop hiking trail up to the fire lookout tower on Mt. Olga. Facilities include a 23 tent/RV sites and 11 lean-to sites, flush toilets, hot showers, a play area and large pavilion with electricity, 3 charcoal grills, and 10 picnic tables.

The Windham-2 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Windham-2 District includes all of the Windham County towns of Halifax, Whitingham, and Wilmington. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Windham-2 District had a population of 4,305 in that same census, 6.06% above the state average.

The station is owned by the Monadnock Broadcasting Group subsidiary of Saga Communications and licensed to Saga Communications of New England, LLC. It airs a classic hits music format.The station has been assigned these call letters by the Federal Communications Commission since September 12, 1979.On December 19, 2016 WKVT-FM changed their format from classic hits to classic rock, branded as "Iconic Rock 92.7".On March 23, 2018 WKVT-FM changed their format from classic rock to variety hits, branded as "92.7 Bratt FM".The station also served as the Brattleboro area's New England Patriots' affiliate for NFL games until WINQ-AM took over.On August 2, 2021 WKVT-FM changed their format from variety hits to classic hits, branded as "Rewind 92.7 & 102.3", adding a simulcast on WZBK 1220 AM/W272DZ 102.3 FM Keene, New Hampshire.

The Green River Crib Dam is a historic 19th-century dam on the Green River in western Guilford, Vermont. Built about 1811, it is a reminder of the modest industrial enterprises once conducted in the area using the water power it provided, and is one of the state's few surviving crib dams. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Green River Covered Bridge is a covered bridge in western Guilford, Vermont. Built in the 1870s by Marcus Worden, it is a Town lattice truss bridge, carrying Green River Road over the eponymous river in a small rural village of the same name. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Jacksonville is a village in the town of Whitingham, Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 213 at the 2020 census.
