Race City Motorsport Park

Shepard is a former hamlet within the eastern periphery of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, approximately 24 kilometres (15 mi) east of downtown, that was annexed from Rocky View County in July 2007. Shepard is bound by 84 Street SE to the west, a rail line to the north, and 114 Avenue SE (also known as Beulah Vista Road) to the south. The Stoney Trail ring road passes to the west of the former hamlet. Shepard is immediately north of Ralph Klein Park, a large green space that was developed in the late 2000s.

Ralph Klein Park is a 30 hectares (74 acres) wetland park in the City of Calgary, Alberta. It is named after former premier of Alberta and mayor of Calgary Ralph Klein. Construction started in 2009, and the dedication ceremony was on July 19, 2010. The park was opened to the public on June 18, 2011. The park features public art by Beverly Pepper.The address of the park is 12350 - 84 Street SE, adjacent to the former hamlet of Shepard. Its operating hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Ralph Klein Park is open on statutory holidays.At one time the park's name was slated to be Shepard Wetlands Legacy Park.

New Brighton is a master planned residential neighbourhood developed in the southeast of Calgary, Alberta. Located east of 52nd. Street SE and south of 130th Ave and McIvor Boulevard to the south. The community contains a variety of single family and multi-family homes as well as a private residents association recreation facility called the New Brighton Club. The facility contains a water park, hockey rink, tennis, banquet facilities and studio space with many programmed activities. The community was designed by Carma Developers LP. The community maintains active online forums for residents and for neighbourhood program activities i.e. there is an interactive community website.It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 12 councillor.

Copperfield is a neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. The neighbourhood is bounded by 52nd St. to the west, Stoney Trail to the south, and the neighbourhood of New Brighton to the north. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 12 councillor. Copperfield had a population of 7,162 in 2011.

Shepard is a planned and approved CTrain suburban light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada part of the Green Line. Construction will begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as part of construction stage one, segment one. The station is located at the South Trail Crossing shopping centre and will serve as the southern terminus station for stage one of construction. It is expected to be one of the busiest stations on opening day.This station is surrounded by a commercial and retail area and does not currently have a pedestrian-friendly environment. As part of station construction, the area will be upgraded with improved sidewalks and multi-use pathways that will increase walkability in the area. The improved pathway system will feature a pedestrian connection to Douglasdale/Douglasglen. The Green Line light-rail storage and maintenance facility will be immediately north of the station. Additionally, it will feature a large park and ride, and a one-million square foot office development has been planned adjacent to the station.

Calgary Southeast was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 2015. The district was in the southeast part of the City of Calgary. It was bounded by the city limits to the south and east.

Hotchkiss is a suburban residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bounded by Marquis of Lorne Trail SE (Highway 22X to the south, Stoney Trail to the west, and 146 Avenue SE to the north. Hotchkiss is located within Calgary City Council's Ward 12. The name of the community was adopted by Calgary City Council on May 6, 2013. The neighbourhood is named for late Harley Hotchkiss, a businessman, community leader and former owner of the Calgary Flames.Hotchkiss is being developed by Hopewell Residential Communities of Calgary.

Mahogany is a suburban residential neighbourhood in Calgary, Alberta that was approved by its city council for development beginning in 2007. The community is bordered by 52 St SE to the west, along with the community of Auburn Bay, Stoney Trail to the north, the proposed East Freeway to the east, and an eastern extension of Seton Boulevard (dubbed 196 Avenue SE) to the south. Mahogany is being developed by Hopewell Residential Communities of Calgary. The chosen builders within Mahogany include: Jayman, Sabal, Stepper Homes and Trico Homes. Calbridge, Baywest and Morrison Homes started building in Mahogany at the end of 2010. The Mahogany Sales Centre and Show Home Parade officially opened on Saturday September 13, 2008. The area is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 12 councillor. According to page 22 of the city's Mahogany Community Plan, efforts are to be made to preserve a historic ranch located within the future community. A core commercial hub will be built along 52 Street on the west side, and a future southeast line of the city's C-Train system is expected to run parallel to 52 Street, also servicing Mahogany. The community is to the northeast of Seton, a commercial-residential-service hub that includes the city's new South Health Campus.

Additional brewing operations are located in Vancouver, British Columbia; Etobicoke, Ontario; and Liberty Village in Toronto, Ontario. Big Rock distributes a variety of beers and ciders throughout Canada.

McKenzie Towne is a master planned residential neighbourhood in the southeast of Calgary, Alberta being developed by Carma Developers LP (now Brookfield Residential Properties Inc.). The community is bordered on the west by Deerfoot Trail, on the south by Stoney Trail, on the east by 52 St. S.E., and to the north by the South Trail regional commercial centre along 130 Ave. S.E. McKenzie Towne boasts many recreational features, including: the McKenzie Towne Hall managed and operated by the staff and Board of Directors of the McKenzie Towne Council (which is the community's Residents' Association). Within the Hall: a gymnasium, meeting and banquet facilities, and a private outdoor park area. The Council offers recreational programming for children, youth, families adults and seniors, as well as facility rentals for events. The Council also runs community events and looks after the landscaping and maintenance of green spaces and amenities. The community also has a network of paved pathways, green spaces and parks; a fountain and splash park; an outdoor hockey rink and skate park and numerous ponds also complement McKenzie Towne. McKenzie Towne also contains one separate school board elementary school and a public elementary school.

Calgary-Hays is a provincial electoral district mandated to return one member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada using the first past the post method of voting. The riding was formed in 2004, carved out of the Calgary-Shaw electoral district. The district is named after former Calgary mayor and Canadian Senator Harry Hays who represented the electoral district of Calgary South as a Member of Parliament. In its present boundaries the electoral district covers the deep southeast corner of Calgary and includes the neighbourhoods of McKenzie Lake, McKenzie Towne, Quarry Park, Douglas Glen, and Douglasdale.

The Shepard Energy Centre is a combined cycle power plant located on the east side of Calgary, Alberta. Powered by two gas turbine generators, with two HRSGs capturing the waste heat from the exhaust-gases and producing steam for a single steam turbine.ENMAX claims the Shepard Energy Centre emits less than half of the carbon dioxide per MW compared to traditional coal power-plants.
