Saint Mary Magdalene High School in Poznań (Polish: Liceum Ogólnokształcące św. Marii Magdaleny; Latin: Ad sanctam Mariam Magdalenam; colloquially simply as Marynka) is one of the oldest and one of the most prestigious and selective high schools in Poland. School is noted for its alumni, its academics, and the large number of graduates attending prestigious universities. Marynka has educated statesmen, scholars and generations of the intelligentsia and has been referred to as "the chief nurse of Poland's elites".

Zyga the Lamplighter Monument (Polish: Pomnik Zygi Latarnika) is a bronze statue in Poznań, Poland, in the Łukasiewicz Square near Za Groblą Street, within the Old Town neighbourhood. It depicts a lamplighter named Zyga, using a pole to light up a nearby gas street light. It was designed by Robert Sobociński and unveiled on 29 May 2003.

Poznań Fara (Polish: Fara Poznańska), also known as the Parish Church or simply Fara, is a Roman Catholic basilica located in the heart of the Old Town district in Poznań, western Poland. It is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, the most important Christian temple alongside the Cathedral and the finest example of Baroque architecture in Poland. The full name of the Church is Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mary Magdalene and Saint Stanislaus. It is currently part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Poznań. Built between 1651 and 1701, the structure was engineered by Polish and Italian masters in the Baroque style, who also incorporated Roman architectural aspects such as the monumental Corinthian columns in the interior. In the mid-18th century Pompeo Ferrari designed the main altar standing at 17 meters in height and the main entrance from the Old Town. In 1876 an organ constructed by Friedrich Ladegast was installed inside the Church. The Fara, like most of the city, was spared from destruction during World War II.

Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania is a museum of St. Martin's croissants, located in Poznań, at 41 Stary Rynek.The museum is dedicated to the tradition of baking croissants, already 150 years old. Visiting the museum is interactive. During the show, visitors can learn how to produce a croissant according to the original recipe. The museum aims to promote Poznań culture and history, whose most characteristic elements are: Świętomarcińskie croissants, Poznań dialect and goats on the tower of the Town Hall. The Museum was founded by Szymon Walter.

The Pranger of Poznań is found near the north-east corner of the Town Hall, not far from the Prozerpina Fountain. It is an eight-sided, late-Gothic column, on the summit of which stands a statue of an executioner in a Crusader's outfit holding a raised sword. The current pranger is a copy made by Marcin Rożek in 1925. The original is in the Museum of History of Poznań in the town hall. The pranger was constructed in 1535, financed by fines extracted from workers who wore too-elaborate outfits. The pranger was used to exact punishment through flagellation or the removal of ears or fingers.

Poznań Old Town is the centermost neighbourhood of the city of Poznań in western Poland, covering the area of the once walled medieval city of Poznań. It is called Stare Miasto in Polish, although that name may also refer to the wider administrative district of Stare Miasto, which extends to most of the city centre and northern parts of the city. The Old Town is centred on Stary Rynek, the Old Market Square where the historic Poznań Town Hall (Ratusz) stands. It represents the glory of Poznań, from its foundation in 1253. One of Town Hall's towers hosts two small billy goats, which butt their heads together every day at noon. At the western end of the Old Town is the Przemysł Hill (Góra Przemysła) on which the King's castle once stood. The medieval Royal Castle in Poznań has been reconstructed between 2011 and 2016. The city walls were taken down when the city expanded in the early 19th century, but the street layout of the Old Town still corresponds closely to that of the former protected city, with a grid of narrow streets. Surviving fragments of the walls, some of which have been further reconstructed, can be seen on Stawna Street, Ludgardy Street, next to Chopin Park in the south of the Old Market Square and best parts are on Masztalarska street in the north. Poznań Old Town is listed as one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments (Pomnik historii), as designated November 28, 2008, along with other portions of the city's historic core. Its listing is maintained by the National Heritage Board of Poland.

Poznań Town Hall (Polish: ratusz w Poznaniu) is a historic city hall in the city of Poznań, Poland, located at the Poznań Old Town in the centre of Old Market Square. It used to serve as the seat of local government until 1939, and now houses a museum. The town hall was originally built in the late 13th century following the founding of the medieval city in 1253; it was rebuilt in roughly its present-day form, in mannerist style, with an ornate loggia, by Giovanni Battista di Quadro in 1550–1560. The display of mechanical fighting goats, played out daily at noon above the clock on the front wall of the building, is one of the city's main tourist attractions.

Old Market Place (Polish: Stary Rynek) is the center and oldest part of the Old Town of Poznań, Poland. This market is the third largest market square in Poland, after Main Square in Kraków, and Market Square in Wrocław.

Poznań (Polish: [ˈpɔznaɲ] (listen)) is a city on the River Warta in west-central Poland, within the Greater Poland region. As of 2020, the city's population is 532,048, while the Poznań metropolitan area (Metropolia Poznań) comprising Poznań County and several other communities is inhabited by over 1.1 million people. It is one of four historical capitals of medieval Poland and the ancient capital of the Greater Poland region, currently the administrative capital of the province called Greater Poland Voivodeship. Poznań is a center of trade, sports, education, technology and tourism. It is an important academic site, with about 130,000 students and Adam Mickiewicz University, the third largest Polish university. The city serves as the seat of the oldest Polish diocese, now being one of the most populous Catholic archdioceses in the country. The city also hosts the Poznań International Fair – the biggest industrial fair in Poland and one of the largest fairs in Europe. The city's other renowned landmarks include the National Museum, Grand Theatre, Fara Church and the Imperial Castle. Poznań is classified as a Gamma- global city by Globalization and World Cities Research Network. According to several rankings it is one of the most business-friendly cities in Poland. It also ranks highly in safety and healthcare quality. The city of Poznań has also, many times, won the prize awarded by "Superbrands" for a very high quality city brand. In 2012, the Poznań's Art and Business Center "Stary Browar" won a competition organised by National Geographic Traveler and was given the first prize as one of the seven "New Polish Wonders". The official patron saints of Poznań are Saint Peter and Paul of Tarsus, the patrons of the cathedral. Martin of Tours – the patron of the main street Święty Marcin – is also regarded as one of the patron saints of the city.

St. John Cantius School is a high school in Poznań, Poland named after the scholar and theologian St. John Cantius. It was founded in 1920 by Gotthilf Berger, Edward Raczyński and Hipolit Cegielski, in place of the German-language high school previously known as Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium, in honor of Frederick III. Between 1853 and the First World War the Polish-German sections of the school were known also as the Real School and the Berger Gymnasium after G. Berger. Some notable alumni include: Florian Marciniak, Władysław Niegolewski, Zbigniew Zakrzewski, Xaver Scharwenka and Zygmunt Gorgolewski. Noted faculty members included Hermann Loew and Karol Libelt.

Wielkopolska Museum of Independence is a museum, a local cultural institution organized by the city of Poznań. The scope of the museum's activities includes collecting and making available collections on the independence uprisings and organic work during the partitions, the period of the Second Republic of Poland, fighting and martyrdom during World War II, as well as protests and opposition activities in the years 1945-1989. Before the name was changed, the museum was known as the Wielkopolska Museum of the Fight for Independence.The Chairman of the Museum Council in the 2016–2020 term is professor Zbigniew Pilarczyk from Adam Mickiewicz University, while the Director is Tomasz Łęcki.The museum is entered in the list of museums kept by the minister in charge of culture and national heritage protection.
