Kufstein-Langkampfen Airport (German: Flugplatz Kufstein-Langkampfen, ICAO: LOIK) is a private use airport located 3 kilometres (2 mi) southwest of Kufstein, Tirol, Austria.

Langkampfen is a municipality in the Austrian state of Tyrol between Kufstein (8 km southwest below) and Wörgl (8 km north above). The name comes from the Latin Longus campus, which means the long field.

Bad Häring (Central Bavarian: Bod Hearing) is a municipality in the Kufstein district in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 4.30 km northwest of Wörgl and 9 km south of Kufstein. A strong sulfur source was found in 1951 resulting in foundation of health tourism. In 1996 the location was named the "first air spa of Tyrol“.

The Thiersee Lake lies in the center of Vorderthiersee in the valley with the same name on a height of 616 m. It is surrounded by mountains forming a kettle. The lake can be reached by car or by local bus from Kufstein via the valley. The Lake can be used for bathing and possesses an excellent water quality of Grade A. Several possibilities like boat trips, swimming, Beach volley and others are given. The best conditions are in June because in Summer the water can warm up to 24 °C. Several small creeks provide the Lake with fresh water. The Thiersee Ache drains the Lake, has a length of 7 km, which merges with the Inn River anew.

The Pölven is a mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps in the Lower Inn valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The mountain actually consists of a ridge with two peaks: the Großer ("Great") and Kleiner ("Small") Pölven, the Großer Pölven (also called the Mittagskogel) reaches a height of 1,595 m (AA). The summit can be scaled over a small and simple Klettersteig. From the summit area there are views of Hohe Salve, Bad Häring, the Lower Inn valley, the Wilder Kaiser, the Loferer Steinberge and Söll. The ridge is one of the less well-known mountains and hence less frequented by tourists. Occasional aircraft noise interrupts the quiet atmosphere because this region is well suited to gliders due to the good thermals. The mountain has quarries that extract marl and limestone and are used by the cement industry in Kirchbichl.

Kufstein railway station serves the city of Kufstein, in the Kufstein district of the Austrian federal state of Tyrol. Opened in 1876, it is an Austrian-German border station, close to the border between Tyrol and Bavaria. The station forms part of the Lower Inn Valley railway, and is also a terminus of the Rosenheim–Kufstein railway. It is owned and operated by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).

It is on a hill commanding Kufstein proper. Kufstein Fortress is 507 metres (1,663 ft) above sea level.The fortress is linked to the city below by the Festungsbahn, a funicular railway.

The town was the place of origin of the Austrian noble family Kuefstein.
