Wellington Square is a garden square in central Oxford, England, a continuation northwards of St John Street. In the centre of the square is a small park, Wellington Square Gardens, owned by the University of Oxford. A bicycle route passes into Little Clarendon Street through the pedestrian area at the front of the University Offices in the north-east of the square. The street name is used to refer metonymically to the central administration of the University of Oxford, which in 1975 moved from the Clarendon Building to new buildings with an address in the square but built at that time, along with graduate student accommodation, along the adjacent Little Clarendon Street. The university's Department for Continuing Education is in the square in Rewley House, which was designed in 1872 by the Oxford architect E.G. Bruton, who also laid out the square. This was the initial location of Kellogg College. Number 47 houses the administrative offices of the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages, as well as the university's Slavic and Modern Greek collections. Barnett House (named after the social reformer Canon Samuel Barnett and his wife Henrietta), home of the Department of Social Policy and Intervention is found along one side of the square. The Oxford University Broadcasting Society used a studio of Radio Oxford in the square.

The Phonetics Laboratory is the phonetics laboratory at the University of Oxford, England. It is located at 41 Wellington Square, Oxford. The laboratory focusses on experimental tests of linguistic assumptions and empirical linguistics. It provides teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. Research students in the laboratory are normally reading for a higher degree in Experimental Linguistics, though students from other disciplines touching on the subject of speech are sometimes based in Phonetics. The Phonetics Laboratory was established in 1980. It occupies the basement of 41 Wellington Square, a mid-Victorian brick building, expanded since. It has experimental areas (sound-insulated recording booths), and general experimental space. The lab also supports signal processing research via software, speech corpora, and processor clusters.

The Angus Library and Archive is a collection of over 70,000 items relating to the history of the Baptist movement from 1612. It is based on the site of Regent's Park College, Oxford, a permanent private hall of the University of Oxford and one of the key centres for Baptist ministerial training worldwide.

Regent's Park College (known colloquially within the university as Regent's) is a permanent private hall of the University of Oxford, situated in central Oxford, just off St Giles'. Founded in 1810, the college moved to its present site in 1927 and became a licensed hall of the university in 1957. The college now admits both undergraduate and graduate students to take Oxford degrees in a variety of arts, humanities and social science subjects. It is one of the few academic institutions within the University of Oxford to have accepted women as well as men since before the mid-twentieth century, with women attending college since the 1920s. The college also trains men and women for ordained ministry among Baptist churches in Great Britain and overseas.

The St John Street area is a residential area close to the city centre in Oxford, England. It consists of two streets, St John Street and Beaumont Buildings. Wellington Square is to the north, Pusey Street to the east, and Beaumont Street to the south. It is an area of terraced houses developed in about 1830 as part of the same scheme as Beaumont Street.

Little Clarendon Street is a short shopping street in northwest Oxford, England. It runs east-west between the south end of Woodstock Road opposite St Giles' Church to the east, Somerville College to the north and Walton Street to the west. One of the three principal streets in North Oxford off the Woodstock Road, the shops and cafés located there are considered bohemian; the other two streets are North Parade and South Parade. Occasionally nicknamed Little Trendy Street, its reputation was already apparent in the 1960s.

Pusey Street links the wide thoroughfare of St Giles' Street (opposite St John's College) to the east with St John Street to the west in the St John Street area of central Oxford, England. Pusey Street, formerly called Alfred Street, was renamed in honour of Edward Bouverie Pusey in 1926. The renaming also avoided confusion with another Alfred Street to the south.The street is about 150 yards long and is one-way eastbound for most of its length. The street is bordered by two educational establishments of Oxford University. On the north side of the street is the Permanent Private Hall of Regent's Park College. This includes a large white building on the corner with St Giles' called Wheeler Robinson House, the ground floor of which is occupied by an Oxfam bookshop. To the south are St Cross College and Pusey House, founded in 1884. Pusey House Chapel is on the corner with St Giles'.Pusey Lane off Pusey Street was renamed from Alfred Lane at the same time as Pusey Street was renamed. MG Cars of Morris Motors manufactured the MG 14/28 car here from 1924 until the move to larger premises in Bainton Road, North Oxford, in September 1925.

St John Street is a street in central Oxford, England. The street mainly consists of Georgian-style stone-faced Grade II listed terraced houses. It was built as a speculative development by St John's College starting in the 1820s and finishing in the 1840s at the start of the Victorian era. At the northern end is Rewley House (housing Oxford University's Department of Continuing Education) and near the southern end is the Sackler Library, which opened in 2001. To the south is Beaumont Street and to the north is Wellington Square. St John Street runs parallel with St Giles' (linked via Pusey Street) to the east and Walton Street to the west. Note that part of Merton Street was once known as St John Street.

St Benet's Hall (known colloquially as Benet's) was a permanent private hall (PPH) of the University of Oxford, originally a Roman Catholic religious house of studies. It closed in 2022. The principal building was located at the northern end of St Giles' on its western side, close to the junction with Woodstock Road, Oxford.

The Oxford Faculty of Theology and Religion co-ordinates the teaching of theology at the University of Oxford, England. It is part of Oxford's Humanities Division. The Theology Faculty Centre was at 34 St Giles' in central Oxford. It is now on the second floor of the Gibson Building in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter on Woodstock Road.

Pusey House is an Anglican religious institution located on St Giles', Oxford, United Kingdom, immediately to the south of Pusey Street. It is firmly rooted in the Anglo-Catholic Prayer Book tradition of the Church of England, and was founded in 1884 in memory of Edward Bouverie Pusey, Regius Professor of Hebrew at Oxford University, and one of the leaders of the Oxford Movement. The House was established as a 'House of Piety of Learning' with a Library and Chapel, both of which remain open and in use today. One of the original intentions of Pusey House was to house Dr Pusey's collection of books and, since its foundation, the House has come to possess many artefacts relating to Pusey and the Oxford Movement, with the House's Library and Archive holding one of the country's most significant collections of material pertaining to Anglo-Catholicism. The House holds daily services in its chapel, as well as regular lectures and events, and has been described as 'a centre of the Catholic life'.Pusey House is closely associated with the University of Oxford, especially St Cross College which moved onto the Pusey House site in 1981, but is not itself a permanent private hall or constituent college.
