Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel

The Augustusberg is a hill of Saxony, southeastern Germany.

The Gottleuba Dam is the second highest dam in Saxony, Germany. It serves as a reservoir for water supply for the town Pirna and provides flood protection, but energy production is small. The dam was built between 1965 and 1974. It is located at the northern foot of the Ore Mountains, southwest of Bad Gottleuba. It dams up the Gottleuba river. Above the concrete dam is a lookout point. The dam is not accessible to the public. Bathing and leisure sport in the lake is not allowed, since it is for drinking water. Entry around the lake is allowed.

Bahra is a river of the Czech Republic and of Saxony, Germany. Its source is in the eastern Ore Mountains, on the Czech border. It flows into the Gottleuba, a tributary of the Elbe.

The Cottaer Spitzberg is a 390.8 m high basalt dome on the western edge of Saxon Switzerland. Since 1979 the hill has been a protected area due to its geological and botanical features.

Bahretal is a municipality in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district in Saxony, Germany. It is situated in the northeastern foothills of the Ore Mountains, between Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel and Dohna. It consists of several small villages, situated in the valleys of the rivers Bahre and Seidewitz as well as on the heights between the valleys. The municipality is named after the small river Bahre which flows through it. Its source is located 1.5 km north of Breitenau in Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel at 505 m. It flows into the Seidewitz near Zuschendorf. In order to prevent flooding, a retention basin was built between Borna-Gersdorf and Friedrichswalde-Ottendorf in 1970.

Rottwerndorf is a village in the municipality of Pirna, in Saxony, Germany. It was incorporated into Pirna in 1923. The place was mentioned for the first time in 1337. It is situated on the river Gottleuba, 5 km (3.1 mi) south of Pirna town centre. The village was characterized by quarryman and agriculture. There is a Renaissance-era castle from the 16th century in the village.

Neundorf is a subdivision of Pirna, Germany. It was incorporated into Pirna in 1923. It was first mentioned in 1408 when it was initially known as Poondorf. It is situated in the valley of the river Gottleuba, 6 km southeast of Pirna town centre. Neundorf had a small island station on the Gottleuba Valley Railway, but the line was closed in 1976.
