Globe University and Minnesota School of Business (Globe/MSB) was a private for-profit education network based in Washington County, Minnesota, providing specialized training programs in business, accounting, medical, legal, information technology, massage, veterinary technology, and design fields. The large network had multiple campuses in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. In September 2016, the state of Minnesota stopped the business from operating in the state. All Globe/MSB locations were permanently closed by 2017 because they lost their federal student aid funding.

Crosswinds focuses on cultural diversity, alternative learning styles, and environmental science as the foundations of its education. It provides academic and artistic opportunities for students from urban and suburban neighborhoods to achieve continuing success in a year-round program. The Perpich Center for Arts Education manages Crosswinds. Crosswinds teaches students from ages 11 to 16 (grades 6 through 10). In the beginning of the 2000s there were large gains for students of color, and with the recent conveyance, student achievement has declined significantly according to standardized state testing results.

The school offers a complete 1550-hour course in cosmetology, a 600-hour course in esthiology, a 500-hour course in massage therapy, and a 38-hour instructor course. A secondary location was located in Plymouth, Minnesota from 2012 to 2020.

Tartan Senior High School is within the city's boundaries, and serves the southern half of Oakdale. The city's northern residents are served by North High School in North St. Paul. Imation (now known as Glassbridge) World Headquarters was in Oakdale. Nearby 3M headquarters employs many residents of the city.

Tartan Senior High School is a public secondary school in Oakdale, Minnesota, United States. It is a member of Independent School District 622. Since its opening in 1971, Tartan has grown to more than 1,800 students supported by 120-plus teachers, administrators, aides, custodians, administrative assistants and other support staff. Tartan offers a comprehensive academic program consisting of core courses as well as a wide range of electives in the fine arts, industrial technologies, business education, world languages and cultures, and others. The school mascot is the Titan and its colors are Black, Silver, White and Royal Blue.

Woodwinds Health Campus is a hospital in Woodbury, Minnesota. It is currently part of M Health Fairview and a former member of the HealthEast Care System. It was recognized as innovative for successfully blending integrative health services with traditional medicine. Woodwinds is a full-service 86-bed hospital, located on 30-acres of wetlands. It was one of three hospitals nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), for its evidence-based healing environment and hospital design. It is a collaboration between M Health Fairview and Children’s Minnesota.

The Math and Science Academy (MSA) is a charter school that serves students in grades 6 through 12. It is located in the City Center neighborhood of Woodbury, Minnesota, United States. MSA is a tuition free public school open to any student in the state of Minnesota. Subject areas include mathematics, science, humanities, and foreign language. Students must pass complete programs in science and mathematics including biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Graduates meet or exceed the Minnesota Graduation Standards in all areas. Students may be moved into a different mathematics course level depending on performance. Since its founding, MSA has encouraged its juniors and seniors to take advantage of Minnesota's Post Secondary Enrollment Option, in which high school students can take courses at a college or university in Minnesota, tuition paid by the state of Minnesota. This option has been very popular among the upperclassmen. While there are often very few upper-level course offerings due to lack of demand, most MSA students will have already earned anywhere from 1 to 4 semesters of college credit upon graduation. More recently, MSA has also begun offering AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Computer Science Principles and A, Physics B, Chemistry and Biology.

The St. Paul Minnesota Temple is the 69th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is located in Oakdale, Minnesota, United States, a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, and is the first temple of the LDS Church to be built in the state. The site of the St. Paul Minnesota Temple is also the site of a stake center, a larger meetinghouse for the members of the LDS Church. The temple is situated on a wooded 7.5-acre (3.0 ha) site. The building itself features a single spire and is covered with a light gray granite veneer.
