Whiteley Wood Hall

Forge Dam Park is a park in Fulwood, in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Forge Dam Park is the fourth of the Grade II listed Porter Valley Parks, a connected series of parks (when travelling west from Sheffield city centre) along the course of the Porter Brook. The 49 acres (20 ha) park is on the site of the Old Mayhouse Farm and Forge Dam. It was acquired by the J G Graves Charitable Trust in 1938.

The Porter Valley Parks are a series of public parks and green spaces in Sheffield, England. Lying along the valley of Porter Brook, they run radially out from the city centre, providing a direct green-space connection to the Peak District national park. Created variously between 1855 and 1938, they comprise in order from the city centre; Endcliffe Park, Bingham Park, Whiteley Woods, Forge Dam Park and Porter Clough.The parks are listed at Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The Friends of the Porter Valley is a registered charity which supports their mianitenance and improvement.

Fulwood Old Chapel is a Unitarian place of worship in the Fulwood district of western Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It is a member of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the umbrella organisation for British Unitarians.The chapel was built from 1728 to 1729 as a meeting house for English Dissenters, who had previously met under John Fox at Fullwood Hall. William Ronksley left £400 in his will for the construction of a "large and handsome" chapel, although the construction itself cost only £75. The chapel is the second oldest religious building in south or west Sheffield, after Beauchief Abbey.The single-storey building is constructed of coursed stone and dressed with ashlar, and has stone slate roofs. The walls are around two feet thick. The street frontage has four mullioned windows, doors being placed between the first and second, and third and fourth, windows. A tablet above the two central windows reads "Built 1729 in pursuance of the last Will of Mr W Roncksley".In 1754, a school room was added; this was extended in 1968 to include a kitchen and toilets, and was again modernised in 2009. It is currently used for a Sunday school and social events. Other changes were made in 1959, when a small storm porch was added inside the main entrance.The chapel is now Grade II listed. A garden formerly laid outside the chapel, but this was removed in 1929, when the road was widened. At the same time, the early nineteenth century village stocks were then moved to lie in front of the building, and these are now also Grade II listed.Samuel Plimsoll is believed to have worshipped at the chapel in the 1860s, and his first daughter may be buried under its floor.

Christ Church Fulwood is a large conservative evangelical Anglican parish church of the Church of England situated in Fulwood, Sheffield, England. The Revd Canon Paul Williams was vicar at Christ Church from 2006 to 2021.

It is bounded by the suburbs of Lodge Moor to the NW, Ranmoor to the east and Crosspool to the NE. The open countryside of the Peak District lies to the west and SW. The sub districts of Stumperlowe and Goole Green are part of the suburb. The population of the ward at the 2011 Census was 18,233. Fulwood is located in the Sheffield Hallam constituency which, as of the 2019 general election voted Labour.

It is located in the far western part of the city and covers an area of 23.2 km2. The population of this ward in 2011 was 18,233 people in 6,476 households. Fulwood ward is one of the five wards that make up the Sheffield Hallam Parliamentary constituency. In the 2004 local elections John Knight, Janice Sidebottom, and Andrew Sangar, all Liberal Democrats, were returned as councillors for the newly drawn ward. The current Member of Parliament is Labour's Olivia Blake.

Stumperlowe Cottage is a Grade II listed building situated on Stumperlowe Hall Road in the suburb of Fulwood in Sheffield, England. It was originally a cottage with an attached barn but has now been converted into one long residential building.

Silverdale School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is the founding school of Chorus Education Trust (formerly Silverdale Multi-Academy Trust). It opened in 1957 as a secondary modern school, and became a comprehensive school in 1969. It serves approximately 1,200 pupils from the local area, from ages 11 to 18. In 2004 Silverdale was placed 4th in Sheffield school performance exam league tables. In 2017 Silverdale students achieved the top A-level results of all state schools in the city. Recent Ofsted reports have placed the school in the good category, but placed the 6th form in outstanding, as October 2022. This is a downgrade from the outstanding the school scored in 2014. In 2018 it was named the Sunday Times North State Secondary School of the Year. In 2020 it was named Top State School of the North for the Decade by the Sunday Times. The school converted to academy status in January 2013.

Whirlow Brook Park is a landscaped garden of 39 acres in Whirlow, Sheffield, which are open to the public, containing Whirlow Brook Hall. It stretches from Ecclesall Road and joins on to Limb Brook Valley heading towards the Peak District, with an entrance to Whinfell Quarry Garden.

Whirlow Hall Farm is a working farm situated on Broad Elms Lane at Whirlow in the City of Sheffield, England. Since 1979 it has been the site of the Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, a registered charity which allows children and young people to visit a working farm. The site includes various Grade II listed buildings including Whirlow Farmhouse built on the site of the old Whirlow Hall. In the yard below the farmhouse is Whirlow Hall Cottage (sometimes called Low House) along with two ancient cruck barns and a cow shed.

Carsick Hall is a stone built Victorian Lodge located in the affluent Ranmoor area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, which lies 3 miles west of Sheffield City Centre. Carsick Hall is notable in the area for being built on an old Roman road, near what is now known as Hallam Head. The property sits on a plot inhabited since the writing of the original Domesday Book.Carsick Hall was built in 1842 by Reginald Wood for William Creswick of the renowned Creswick's Silversmiths of Sheffield. A building of this age is rare in Sheffield due to the effects of the German Blitz.'Carsick' is derived from 'Carr', meaning wet woodland and 'Sick' or 'Syke' meaning stream or valley. Carsick Brook passes through the grounds of the hall on its way to the Ponderosa.
