Country Meadows is an unincorporated community in Ellington Township, Adams County, Illinois, United States. Country Meadows is north of Quincy.

Quincy station is an Amtrak intercity train station in Quincy, Illinois, United States. The station is one of the namesake stations of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q or Burlington Route), but today serves as the western terminus of Amtrak's Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg trains. It was built in 1985 and was modeled after a former streetcar station of the early 20th Century. Previously, the Illinois Zephyr crossed the Mississippi River and terminated at the former CB&Q station in West Quincy, Missouri after stopping in Quincy; indeed, the Quincy station was built due to West Quincy being frequently cut off by flooding. The decision to build a station on the Illinois side proved to be prescient when the Great Flood of 1993 destroyed the West Quincy station. The city has received $6 million to build a new intermodal terminal closer to downtown. In addition to serving as an Amtrak station, it would become the city's Burlington Trailways station and a transfer hub for Quincy Transit Lines. The location has not been finalized yet, but the planners currently favor a terminal near 2nd/Oak intersection, at the site of the city's original train station. However, the funds would not be enough to cover any new rail, which would limit the planners' options.

WQUB (90.3 FM) is a 28,000 watt effective radiated power radio station in Quincy, Illinois, in western Illinois along the Mississippi River. This station provides primary coverage for nine counties in the western Illinois and northeastern Missouri region. It is owned by the University of Missouri St. Louis and serves as a semi-satellite of KWMU in St. Louis.

QU Stadium is a stadium in Quincy, Illinois originally known as Q Stadium. It is primarily used for baseball, but also has a separate football field. The baseball side and football side of QU Stadium holds 2,500 people. The football side of the stadium (located beyond the right and right center field fence of the baseball field) only has bleachers on one side of the field. The stadium is surrounded by its original limestone wall built in 1938.

Quincy University (QU) is a private Franciscan university in Quincy, Illinois. It was founded in 1860 and enrolls about 1,100 students.

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company Building is a historic Coca-Cola bottling plant located at 616 North 24th Street in Quincy, Illinois. The building was constructed in 1940 for the J. J. Flynn Co., Coca-Cola's regional bottling company in Quincy and one of six Coca-Cola bottlers in Illinois. Local architect Martin J. Geise designed the Art Deco building, one of the few examples of Art Deco in an industrial building in Quincy. The building's design features a projecting central entrance with a high roof line, pilasters with terra cotta decorations at the front corners, and brick columns dividing the front windows; the features combine to give the building a strong vertical emphasis, an important Art Deco aesthetic. Some features of the emerging Art Moderne style are present in the building, including a stone string course, a flat overhang covering the entrance, and a flat roof.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 7, 1997.

Quincy Town Center is a highly visible mixed-use development in Quincy, Illinois. It was formerly known as Quincy Mall from 1978 to 2021 and was originally an outdoor complex called the American Legion Miracle Mile Town and Country Shopping Center. The outdoor shopping center opened in 1958. The indoor complex opened November 14, 1978 and the mall's anchor tenants are Slumberland Furniture, Quincy Medical Group, and VIP Cinemas. Both shopping centers were created by Don M. Casto Organization of Columbus, Ohio. In 2006, the mall was purchased by Cullinan Properties.

The Quincy Northwest Historic District is a primarily residential historic district in Quincy, Illinois, USA. Located north and west of the city's downtown, the district encompasses over 1,600 contributing buildings; these buildings represent almost every prominent architectural style used between 1840 and 1950. The district developed somewhat irregularly, with no consistent plan or progression; however, development roughly spreads away from downtown and the Mississippi River. While most buildings in the districts are homes, businesses and industrial buildings are interspersed in residential areas without forming clear areas of non-residential use. The Italianate and Queen Anne styles are the two most prevalent of the many formal architectural styles which can be seen in the district; common vernacular styles include the gable front house, the shotgun house, the I-house and the bungalow.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 11, 2000.

The Quincy-Hannibal, IL-MO Combined Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of one county in western Illinois and three counties in northeast Missouri, anchored by the cities of Quincy and Hannibal. As of the 2020 census, the μSA had a population of 75,769.

Quincy ( KWIN-see), known as Illinois's "Gem City", is a city in and the county seat of Adams County, Illinois, United States, located on the Mississippi River. The 2020 census counted a population of 39,463 in the city itself, down from 40,633 in 2010. As of July 1, 2015, the Quincy Micro Area had an estimated population of 77,220. During the 19th century, Quincy was a thriving transportation center as riverboats and rail service linked the city to many destinations west and along the river. It was Illinois' second-largest city, surpassing Peoria in 1870. The city has several historic districts, including the Downtown Quincy Historic District and the South Side German Historic District, which display the architecture of Quincy's many German immigrants from the late 19th century.

The Richard F. Newcomb House is a historic house located at 1601 Maine Street in Quincy, Illinois. The house was built in 1890-91 for Richard F. Newcomb, the founder of the Quincy Paper Company; the company eventually became a national strawboard-producing firm. Local architects Harvey Chatten and Ernest M. Wood collaborated on the house's Richardsonian Romanesque design; the style choice was inspired by the recently built William S. Warfield House, which Newcomb admired and wished to outdo. The three-story house has a massive limestone exterior with a red shingled roof. The house's wraparound front porch is supported by limestone pillars; smaller porches are located throughout the design. A large conical tower and a smaller octagonal tower rise from the southwest and southeast corners of the house respectively.John A. Stillwell, Newcomb's son-in-law and president of the Electric Wheel Company, bought the house from Newcomb in 1910. The Stillwell family donated the house to Quincy College in 1941; the college used the house as a women's dormitory. The house is now home to the Quincy Museum. The first floor has been restored, the second and third floors feature exhibits on local history, natural history, dinosaurs and area Native Americans. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 3, 1982.
