St. James Street is a railway station on the Chingford branch of the Lea Valley lines, located in Walthamstow in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, east London. It is 5 miles 55 chains (9.2 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Clapton and Walthamstow Central. It has been operated by London Overground since 2015. The station is in Travelcard Zone 3.

Black Path is an ancient route between markets in London. It runs from Walthamstow to Hackney, passing Broadway Market, Columbia Road and Smithfield.The path is also known as the Templars’ Path and the Porters’ Way. The route is in use today for cycling and walking.

Kelmscott School is a secondary comprehensive school in Walthamstow, East London, England. The school has approximately 900 pupils aged 11–16. In 2008 the school underwent an £11.2m refurbishment as part of the Building Schools for the Future program. The current headteacher is Mr Sam Jones. Kelmscott is a co-educational community school for pupils aged 11 to 17. All aspects of the school including ‘pupil achievement’, ‘behaviour’ and ‘quality of teaching’ were deemed to be very good at their last Ofsted inspection. The school's most recent Ofsted Inspection in January 2020 describes Kelmscott "continues to be a Good school" category.

Walthamstow Market, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, is the longest (though not the largest) outdoor market in Europe. It occupies all but the last 100 metres (330 ft) of Walthamstow's High Street. It is reputed to be a mile long, but in fact measures approximately one kilometre.

The London Borough of Waltham Forest () is a London borough in north-east London, England. Its population is estimated to be 276,983 in 2019. Waltham Forest was one of the host boroughs of the London Olympics in 2012, with the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre and part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park providing an ongoing legacy in the UK and London.

Lea Bridge is a railway station on the line between Stratford and Tottenham Hale on the Lea Valley Lines, which reopened on the evening of 15 May 2016 with the full service beginning on 16 May 2016, operated by Greater Anglia.The station is located on Argall Way, close to its junction with Lea Bridge Road (A104) and Orient Way, serving the areas of Lea Bridge and Leyton in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, east London. The original station operated from 1840 to 1985 and was accessed via the north side of Lea Bridge Road as it crosses the tracks.

The Lea Bridge Stadium was a football and speedway stadium on Lea Bridge Road in the Walthamstow area of London. It was the home ground of Clapton Orient between 1930 and 1937.

Willowfield School is a mixed gender secondary school in Walthamstow, East London with 840 students on roll. It admits 180 students to Year 7 each year. The current headteacher is Clive Rosewell, who succeeded John Hemingway in April 2016. The school moved to a purpose-built site in 2015.

The Coppermills Water Treatment Works is a large water treatment works in the Lea Valley in east London. Completed in 1969 by the Metropolitan Water Board, it is now owned and operated by Thames Water. In 2009, Coppermills was connected to the Thames Water Ring Main via the Northern Extension Tunnel, enabling the facility to be a major supplier of water to the whole London area. It is capable of supplying a maximum of 680 million litres (150,000,000 imp gal; 180,000,000 US gal) of water per day.

Walthamstow Queen's Road railway station is a London Overground station between Blackhorse Road and Leyton Midland Road stations on the Gospel Oak to Barking Line, 8 miles 7 chains (13.0 km) down the line from Gospel Oak. It is in Zone 3. It opened as "Walthamstow" on 9 July 1894 and was renamed on 6 May 1968 under British Rail. The station stands on Edinburgh Road (not Queens Road) facing Walthamstow (Queens Road) Cemetery. There is step-free access from the street to both platforms. The station is about 330 yards (300 m) from Walthamstow Central station and there is a direct footpath link between the two stations via a new exit onto Exeter Road. The footpath link, which opened in August 2014, is called Ray Dudley Way in commemoration of a local man who campaigned for the link for many years.The station is served by a train every 15 minutes in both directions throughout the day, though from June 2016 until February 2017 the service was suspended (with a rail-replacement bus in operation) whilst the line underwent major rebuilding work associated with electrification.
